Aniimo Mobile Launch: How to Download on iOS and Android

Aniimo, the free-to-play open-world creature collector from Pawprint Studio, is now available on phones. The mobile release lands on September 23, 2026, a week after the game arrived on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Everything carries the same world, the same Aniimo roster, and the same account, so a phone install is a full entry point rather than a companion app.

How to download Aniimo on iOS and Android

You know the install worked when the app opens to the account screen and the continent of Idyll loads with your Pathfinder in it. Anything claimed from the launch events is delivered inside the game through the events and announcements screens.

Aniimo platforms and cross-platform play

Mobile is the last of the announced platforms to go live. The console and PC versions launched in mid-September, and all of them run the same free-to-play client with cross-platform multiplayer.

The game supports single-player, online co-op, and online PvP, with 64 Steam achievements on the PC version. Full English, Simplified Chinese, Japanese, and Korean audio is included, and 13 languages are supported for interface and subtitles.

Catching runs on Aniipods. You can set traps, wear a creature down, and time the throw, with the outcome staying uncertain until the capture resolves. Most Aniimo evolve, which is why the same family shows up at several dex numbers.

Twining is the mechanic that sets the game apart from other collectors. Instead of only issuing commands, you merge with a caught Aniimo and control it directly. That changes your combat skills and your movement, letting you fly, burrow, or sprint, and it lets you talk to creatures of the same species to solve puzzles.

The creatures are written as characters rather than loot. The launch trailer strings together small vignettes, including a Nimbi sulking by a pond while two Fentufts try to cheer it up, and a Blazen watching lightning break over ancient ruins.

You can play the whole thing solo or team up with up to three other players online. Egg Heist is the PVEVP mode, where a three-player team drops into the Lost Isles for real-time searching and fighting against other squads.

Homeland and your RV

Every Pathfinder gets a personal RV parked at an open-world campsite, which doubles as a meeting point with other players. Back at Homeland you can plant crops, build decorations, put your Aniimo to work farming and harvesting, and set up attractions such as fairground rides.

Aniimo global launch rewards and milestone items

Global pre-registration passed 40 million sign-ups, which clears every milestone tier that was on offer. All four unlock for players at launch.

Alongside the milestones, reaching Junior Wayfarer lets you pick a rare Prismana Form Aniimo of your choice. Filling out the Aniilog by catching and collecting creatures unlocks Aniimo Accessories, and the global launch events hand out catching gear including Sparkling Cube, Aniipod Ultra, and Tumbler.

Eggs run on a separate track. Pre-registering on the official Aniimo site grants a mysterious Susuta egg, and logging in across multiple days awards a random Perfect Egg. Story quests, Homeland features, and cumulative check-ins together give out four outfits at no cost.

Aniimo creature roster: elements, roles, and evolution

The dex uses creature numbers for indexing, with entries grouped by element, role, and stage. Its nine elements are holy, fire, ice, dark, electric, grass, water, rock, and wind; roles are DPS, Heal, Support, BREAK, and REGEN; and the evolution sequence is Lumin, Gamma, then Nova.

Families sit next to each other in the index. Emberpup is No. 001, Flameruff No. 002, Scorchhowl No. 003, and Inferlupa No. 004, so a single line of evolution often occupies four consecutive entries. Rare variants exist on top of that, including Prismana and Umbrabo forms with their own textures and elemental affinities.

Scorchhowl

Scorchhowl is the Fire-element DPS of the Emberpup family, evolving from Flameruff and living on Beast Fang Ridge in the Breezy Plains region. Its kit is built around heavy single hits, topped by Falling Star, and it mixes in Electric and Rock attacks through Lightning Kick and Pebble Kick. Releasing one grants Growth Flower ×2, and reporting it pays 100 Credits.

Fragrancier

Fragrancier is the Dark-element support of the Dewy family, found in the Sea of Flowers. It trades raw damage for the highest EP regen of the pair, and its skill list leans on marks and zone effects such as Secret Fragrance Mark and Fragrance Bomb. Its traits ask you to Twine with a Fragrancier and approach a Dewy, and to photograph one making perfume.

Shiny variants sit at a rate of 0.005% per creature, which makes them a long-term chase rather than something to farm deliberately on day one. For most players arriving on phones today, the practical order of business is simple: install the app, claim the launch items, pick a Prismana Form Aniimo once you reach Junior Wayfarer, and start filling the Aniilog.
