Aniimo: How to Get Sparkling Pigment

Trade five Sparkling Sigils at the Outpost Vendor to reroll the hue of a Sparkling Prismana Aniimo.

Sparkling Pigment is a Legendary Mutation Mark in Aniimo that rerolls the color of a Sparkling Aniimo. It only works on Sparkling Prismana Aniimo, and each use randomly assigns a new Sparkling Hue. You cannot find it in the open world or pull it from a chest, so it comes down to one currency and one vendor.

Quick answer: Trade five Sparkling Sigils for one Sparkling Pigment at the Outpost Vendor’s Item Exchange, reached through the Corner Shop tab in the Shop menu.

Exchange five Sparkling Sigils for Sparkling Pigment

The Outpost Vendor’s Item Exchange is available from anywhere, so you do not need to travel to a specific outpost. Follow the menu path below to reach the trade.

Open the Shop from the main menu.
Select the Corner Shop tab along the bottom of the Shop screen.
Choose Exchange in the top-left corner.
Open the Outpost Vendor, pick Item Exchange, and turn in five Sparkling Sigils to receive one Sparkling Pigment.

The item can also appear at the Mysterious Vendor in Astra for 5,000,000 Credits, limited to one per day. That stock slot has a rotation weight of zero, so it is not guaranteed to show on the shelf. The Sigil exchange is the reliable route; buy the Credits copy only if you happen to see it.

Where to get Sparkling Sigils for the trade

Since each Pigment costs five Sparkling Sigils, the Sigils are the real bottleneck. You earn Sparkling Sigils by reporting Sparkling Aniimo after you catch one. The Sigil itself is a separate item that grants the Sparkling mutation to a normal Aniimo, and 10 of them will transform one into a random Sparkling variant.

If you need Sparkling Aniimo to farm those Sigils faster, the Sparkling Cube guarantees a Sparkling catch with at least Elite Acquired Potential. Cubes are earned by collecting 1,000 Sparkling Crystals and exchanging them for one Cube at outpost vendors.

How to use Sparkling Pigment

Sparkling Pigment can only be applied to a Sparkling Prismana Aniimo you already own. It does not add the Sparkling trait and it does nothing to a normal Aniimo. Use it when you have a Sparkling Prismana Aniimo whose current hue you want to change. Each application randomly rolls a new Sparkling Style, so a copy you like should stay as it is unless you are prepared to lose the current look.

Sparkling comes in 12 styles: 10 ordinary looks named Sparkling Type I through Sparkling Type X, plus the two rare styles, Dazzling Sparkling and Shadow Sparkling. You can preview every style for a species in its Aniilog. Open Aniimo Management, pick the Aniimo, select the Aniilog tab, then Field Notes, and open the Switch Form list to cycle through each colorway.

Every use is a fresh roll. Pointing Pigment at an existing Dazzling or Shadow copy will send it back to a Common style 99% of the time, so weigh the risk before rerolling a rare hue.

Sparkling Pigment reroll odds

When you apply Sparkling Pigment, the outcome splits the 1% rare chance evenly between the two rare styles. These are style probabilities for a roll that has already landed a Sparkling, not the odds of getting a Sparkling in the first place. Here is how Pigment compares with the other Sparkling items.

Only Sparkling Pigment and Sparkling Sigil can roll either rare style together, with each style having a 0.50% chance. Sparkling Cube puts the entire 1% chance on one rare style, determined by where it is used.

Confirm the exchange and reroll worked

After the trade, Sparkling Pigment appears in your inventory as a Legendary Mutation Mark. When you apply it to a Sparkling Prismana Aniimo, the creature’s Sparkling Hue changes to a new style, which you can confirm by checking its look in the Field Notes Switch Form view. If the option to use Pigment is greyed out, the target is not a Sparkling Prismana Aniimo, which is the only type it can affect.
