Edem (Smash) and Potry (Licht) are two awakened secret units in Anime Squadron, each built from a base secret unit that drops from an Invasion stage. Getting them fully online means farming the drop, rolling the Superior trait, collecting a specific list of awakening materials, and then feeding them to level 50. The paths are similar but the materials differ, so it helps to know exactly what each one needs before you start grinding.
Quick answer: Awaken Edem (Smash) with 1 Edems Armor and 100 Immunosuppressants; awaken Potry (Licht) with a Licht Grimoire plus Infinity Train materials. Farm each base unit from its Invasion stage first.
Awakening requirements for Edem (Smash) and Potry (Licht)
Both awakenings run through the Awakening pod in the lobby. Place the base unit inside, load the required materials, and press Awaken. The pod will not let you finish until every material count is met, so the numbers below are what you are farming toward.
| Unit | Materials needed |
|---|---|
| Edem (Smash) | 1x Edems Armor, 100x Immunosuppressant, Gold |
| Potry (Licht) | 1x Licht Grimoire, 125x Mist Fern, 300x Demon Fangs, 15x Demon Blood Crystal, 1x Warding Mask, 200 Gold |

Every material has a fixed farming stage. The table below maps each drop to where it comes from and its rate, so you can plan runs instead of guessing.
| Drop | Stage | Rate / pity |
|---|---|---|
| Edem (unit) | Cybercity Invasion Act 1 Normal | 2.5%, 50 pity |
| Edems Armor | Cybercity Invasion Act 1 Hard | 1%, 100 pity |
| Immunosuppressant | Cybercity Squadron Act 1 Hard | Farmable |
| Potry (unit) | Mage Castle Invasion Act 1 Normal | 5%, 25 pity |
| Licht Grimoire | Mage Castle Invasion Act 1 Hard | 5%, 25 pity |
| Mist Fern | Infinity Train Story Act 5/6 | Farmable |
| Demon Fangs | Infinity Train Story Act 1/2 | Farmable |

How to get and awaken Potry (Licht)
Farm the Infinity Train materials in bulk in a single sitting since Mist Fern and Demon Fangs also feed gear crafting, not just this awakening.
Rolling the Superior trait and stocking Trait Shards
Superior is the top trait target for both units. It grants +200% DMG, +300% HP, +30% RNG, and -15% CD, with a 0.1% roll chance and a 1250-roll pity. Because pity is so high, you want a large Trait Shard stockpile before you start rerolling.
Devil Capsules from the Capsule Event shop are the fastest way to bank shards in volume, since they also drop Gold, Gems, and units. The Merchant and daily and calamity rewards top up your materials between capsule batches.
Redeeming active codes in the Codes window is another quick source of Trait Shards and Reroll Cubes before a rolling session.

Special Quests also hand out Trait Shards and other awakening currency as you complete their task lists, so check them before spending on rerolls.

Superior is not the only useful trait. Cloner, which spawns two units instead of one with +40% DMG and +60% HP, is a strong pick for support units like Nazaka (Berserk) and carries a lower 800 pity.
Gear and team setup around Potry (Licht)
A finished Potry (Licht) slots into a primary lineup alongside Michigo (Horn Of Salvation), Woo (Shadow), Devid (Sandevista), Lacy (Hacker), and Nazaka (Berserk). Review each unit’s equipped gear in the Unit Detail screen before testing to make sure set bonuses are active.

Much of the gear you want is crafted rather than dropped. The Crafting station builds mythic pieces like the Devil Sword and Devil Amulet, plus items such as Hogyoku, using materials and Gold.

Higher-rarity relic recipes appear in the same station once unlocked, including Secret and Mythic sets. Check the recipe list for pieces that match your team’s roles before committing materials.

To confirm the build works, run The Royal Capital Event (Act. 1) and watch the clear speed. A fully geared team should tear through the stage, which is the practical sign your awakenings and gear are paying off.
Edem (Smash) and Potry (Licht) passives
Edem (Smash)
Full Borg caps incoming damage so a single hit never removes more than 20% of Edem’s Max Health. Anything above that cap is ignored, and it works against both normal attacks and Abilities. The weakness is volume, since many small hits will still bring him down.
Militech Plating stacks +3% DMG and +3% Crit DMG each time Edem is hit, and a hit capped by Full Borg counts twice. The bonus caps at +33% DMG and +33% Crit DMG, and the stacks hold for the rest of the stage.
Missile Barrage activates once Militech Plating is at full stacks. Every third attack then also hits every enemy in Range for 50% of Edem’s DMG per enemy, and both normal attacks and his Ability count toward the trigger.
Potry (Licht)
Light Magic lets Potry ignore his Range and attack any enemy on the map, measured in a straight line, picking a new target once the current one dies. He holds position while a target exists, firing from the back, but he does not hit the enemy base and ignores enemies on split lanes.
With Radiant Blade, Potry gains +0.3% DMG for every stud between him and his target, up to +50% DMG at 166 studs. The game checks the distance on each hit, so the bonus decreases as the target approaches, and Potry’s Ability benefits from it as well.
Once both units read as awakened in the Units menu, sit at level 50, and carry Superior, they are ready for endgame stages. A clean, fast clear in The Royal Capital Event is your confirmation that the full build, from trait to gear, has come together.
