A golden meteor drifts across the night sky over Tideblossom Coast, and if you actually watch it touch down, it turns into a boss fight. That meteor is Alpha Luminelle, a Lightning-element world boss that constantly builds up charge and can scale as high as Level 60. Beating it is also the gate that lets a Veilfloat evolve into Luminelle, so most players come here for the catch and the evolution unlock at the same time.
Quick answer: Set the time to night, fast travel to Tideblossom Coast in Breezy Plains, watch the golden shooting star land on the beach, break the boss by killing its five Bulbly, then catch it with an Anipod Ultra.

How to spawn Alpha Luminelle at Tideblossom Coast
Alpha Luminelle has no permanent marker like other Alphas. Find it south of the Tideblossom Coast Bloom in the Breezy Plains region, near coordinates -0038, 0109. It appears only at night, and only if you witness the shooting star hit. If you miss the impact, the star skips off the beach, arcs back into the sky, then waits before making another descent.

Come in with your character at Level 45 or higher and your combat Aniimo trained to Level 50 or above. Anything much lower triggers the “Enemy level is far too high. Victory is unlikely.” warning, and the boss hits hard enough that under-leveled partners get wiped fast.

Use an attacker with a counter-element instead of bringing another Lightning unit. Alpha Luminelle is vulnerable to Dark and Ice, while Light, Lightning, and Wind attacks are resisted. Ranged Aniimos work best: much of the boss’s damage comes from an electric field around its body that keeps hurting anything nearby.

Alpha Luminelle combat stats by level
Health scales sharply with level. At Level 60 you are chewing through more than 320,000 HP, which is why leaning on the BREAK window matters so much.
| Level | HP | ATK | BREAK |
|---|---|---|---|
| 53 | 213,140 | 782 | 176 |
| 55 | 242,899 | 826 | 182 |
| 57 | 274,435 | 872 | 188 |
| 60 | 323,917 | 940 | 197 |
Its defense and magic defense climb alongside those numbers, from 85 at Level 53 up to 101 at Level 60, so raw stat-checking a Level 60 spawn without breaking it is a slog.
How to beat Alpha Luminelle
The boss’s charge mechanic drives the encounter. Its attacks usually target limited areas and show warning zones on the ground, so dodge as soon as one appears. Charge advances through Fully Charged and Power Overload before the boss unleashes a wide-reaching lightning Ultimate.
- Circle the arena to avoid the expanding yellow lightning rings on the floor.
- Dodge-roll out of the rectangular red beam telegraphs before they fire.
- Attack from a distance to avoid the electric field surrounding the boss.
- Watch the phase alerts, such as “The Alpha Luminelle is nearing overcharge!”
At a set point the boss summons five Bulbly that tether energy to power it up, and the prompt reads “The Luminelles are powering up the Alpha. Defeat them all to interrupt it!” Killing every summoned minion instantly breaks the Alpha, which is the cleanest way to shut down its Ultimate.
Breaking the boss clears its charge stacks and grants a 250% damage multiplier window. After BREAK ends, BREAK Recovery keeps the boss taking greatly increased damage until its gauge fills again. Use ultimates and high-impact skills during both phases.

Rotate through your Aniimo forms when stamina, health, or elemental cooldowns run dry, so you always have a fresh set of skills to keep pressure on the boss between break windows.
How to catch Alpha Luminelle
Defeating the boss opens a timed 2-minute Catch Countdown, and you get exactly one capture attempt. Interact during the countdown to bring up the capture menu, then pick the highest-grade Anipod you own. An Anipod Ultra locks in a guaranteed catch and costs 30 Primegy.
| Anipod | Capture rate |
|---|---|
| Free Anipod | 7.2% |
| Anipod Track | 14% |
| Anipod Hyper | 14% |
| 100% | |
| Anipod Ultra | 100% |
An Alpha cannot be caught while Twined, and each defeat gives you only one capture attempt. Before the timer expires, equip your most advanced Anipod; a basic Anipod has a very low chance against a full-health Alpha.
You know it worked when the capture resolves, the First Clear banner appears, and the questline moves on to “Is That a… Lighthouse?”, which then asks you to talk to the Bubby by the cliff. Alpha Luminelle also respawns and attacks after the capture screen closes, so leave combat once you have your rewards.
Alpha Luminelle rewards
Each reward claim uses 30 Primegy. Your first victory grants a one-time bundle; subsequent clears award a reduced, scaling collection of materials.
| First-clear reward | Amount |
|---|---|
| ×5 | |
| ×2 | |
| Glimmer | ×50 |
| Safaris | ×500 |
| ×1 | |
| Lumin Amber: Breezy Plains | ×1 |
Repeat clears hand out Safaris ×150, Stamp ×10, Star Dust ×3–4, Star Sand ×1–2, and Credits ×4,000–13,000. The Alpha Chest can also drop crafting materials like Dewdrop Crystals and Elemental Stones.
What defeating Alpha Luminelle unlocks
Defeating this boss is essential for the Luminelle evolution chain. To evolve Veilfloat into Luminelle, you must defeat Alpha Luminelle, reach Aniimo level 52, and have a Roar Stone. The route starts with Bulbly evolving into Veilfloat at Level 42, followed by Veilfloat becoming Luminelle at Level 52 once the Alpha condition is satisfied.

If you’ve already leveled an invested Veilfloat, evolving it is often preferable to catching a new one, since your leveled Perfect or Sparkling copy carries over. Caught or evolved, Luminelle is a Nova-stage Support and the game’s strongest Lightning buffer, boosting party Lightning damage with Lightning Surge and its Arc Surge trait.
