Aniimo: How to Get Pomawk (Rosetower Woods Evolution)

Pomawk is the evolved form of Pomegg, a Grass-element Aniimo that fills the Break role and uses sound-based skills to shatter enemy defenses. You can add one to your team in two ways: catch the wild Pomawk that appears in Rosetower Woods, or evolve a Pomegg you already own.

Quick answer: At night, catch the sole Level 50 Pomawk in the stage clearing atop Grizbo Cave in Rosetower Woods, or use a Sprout Stone to evolve a level 25 Pomegg.

Where to find Pomawk in Rosetower Woods

The Basic Form Pomawk spawns in Rosetower Woods, part of the Breezy Plains region. Head to the small circular stage clearing at the top of Grizbo Cave, south of the Alpha Grizbo’s den, around coordinates 0111, 1002. A single Pomawk performs there on a makeshift stage.

Only one Pomawk appears here, and it shows up at night. Open the map, confirm you are aiming for the campsite marker at the top of Grizbo Cave, and set the time to night before you travel over.

How to catch the wild Pomawk

Head to the camp clearing at Grizbo Cave’s summit in Rosetower Woods. Go up to the fallen hollow log beside the wild Pomawk. This encounter is Level 50.

Revert to human form so you can use capture spheres. Ready an Anipod Mega, the higher-grade sphere suited to a creature at this level.

Throw the Anipod Mega at Pomawk, aiming from behind for a backstab. A backstab applies a x1.5 bonus that raises your catch chance. Keep throwing until it is captured.

Once the throw succeeds, Pomawk is added to your party roster, which confirms the catch. Weakening it in battle first will make the capture land more reliably.

Make Pomawk respawn: the Pomegg Party quest

After you catch or knock out that first Pomawk, it will not reappear until you complete the Pomegg Party. Finishing it turns the stage clearing into a repeatable spawn.

Near the stage clearing, find the Worried Pomegg. Twine with a Pomegg first, then speak to it to learn that another Pomawk is trapped in the Alpha Grizbo cave.

Head into the Alpha Grizbo cave, just east of the clearing. Follow the path around the boss arena to the Trapped Pomawk near the back, twine with a Pomegg again, and talk to it so your character explains how it can escape.

Go back above ground to 0111, 1002 and wait until night. After you load in, Pomawk will dance on that stage with a group of Pomeggs; catch it there.

After that, the solo Pomawk performer and its Pomegg dance group return to this location each night. To make them reappear, set the time of day to night, then go back to the clearing.

Evolve a Pomegg into Pomawk

If you already have a Pomegg, evolving it is a straightforward alternative. You need the Pomegg to reach level 25 and hold a Sprout Stone. Meeting both conditions lets you evolve it from the Lumin stage into the Nova stage Pomawk.

Sprout Stone drops from defeating Alpha Leafy in the Mistwoods region. Farm one there before you take a level 25 Pomegg to the evolution screen.

Regional Pomawk forms and how to get them

Pomawk has three regional variants beyond the Basic Form. None of them spawn in the wild as Pomawk, so the only way to obtain each is to evolve the matching Pomegg form at level 25.

Pomegg (Snowfield Form) appears in snowy weather at Driftwise Meadow and Rosetower Woods, though the spawns in the northern part of Rosetower Woods show up in any season. Pomegg (Sea of Flowers Form) appears at Tideblossom Coast once you complete the Rainbow of the Ground main quest by beating Irelia.

Pomegg (Highland Form) roams Beast Fang Ridge and Zephyrus Landbridge in the Breezy Plains region. Evolving it into Pomawk (Highland Form) requires the Pomegg to reach level 25 and costs Sprout Stone x1.

Whichever route you take, the fastest path to a Basic Form Pomawk is the night-time spawn in Rosetower Woods, while the regional forms are locked behind evolving their specific Pomegg. Keep a Sprout Stone on hand and a level 25 Pomegg ready if you want to fill out every variant.
