Fortnite Fortnitemares: Every Item and Weapon in the Loot Pool

Fortnitemares brings a spooky overhaul to the loot pool, swapping in fresh weapons, reviving old Halloween favorites, and adding consumables and Loot Hacks that reshape how fights play out. The headline additions are the Bonerattler SMG and Freddy’s Nightmare, but there’s a lot more scattered across chests, ground loot, and boss drops.

Quick answer: The current loot pool includes the Bonerattler SMG, Freddy’s Nightmare, the FNAF Animatronic Shell, Witch Broom, Wood Stake Shotgun, Dual Fiend Hunters, Candy, and Quack Snacks, plus a rotating set of Loot Hacks active through October 15.

Bonerattler SMG

The Bonerattler SMG takes the Drum Gun’s old spot in the loot pool. It fills the same close-range spray role but handles better at mid-range thanks to tighter recoil. Its standout trait is wall detection: aiming down sights reveals enemies through builds, foliage, and other cover.

It drops in Uncommon through Legendary rarity from chests and ground loot, with an Exotic variant available from the map’s vaults.

Freddy’s Nightmare

Freddy’s Nightmare is a melee weapon that transforms you into Freddy Krueger. Beyond the slash attack, it lets you trigger Nightmare Mode, pulling every nearby player within a set radius into their own bad dream. Using the alt-fire a second time teleports you to the closest player caught inside the Nightmare.

While the Nightmare is active, no outside enemies can third-party the fight, leaving only you and the players trapped in the zone. The trade-off is movement: carrying Freddy’s Nightmare slows you down noticeably.

You can find it in chests or claim it by defeating the Freddy Krueger boss at Nightmare Neighborhood.

FNAF Animatronic Shell

Beat any Five Nights at Freddy’s boss to claim its animatronic as a Shell. While equipped, it serves as an extra life: reaching zero health knocks you down, then automatically revives you at 30 Health. The effect also works in Solos.

Witch Broom

The Witch Broom returns at Epic rarity. Equip it to launch into the air and glide, and press the shoot button at any point to cancel the glide, which still cancels fall damage. It comes with 20 uses by default and enters a short cooldown each time one is spent. Look for it in chests or as ground loot.

Wood Stake Shotgun

The Wood Stake Shotgun behaves like its earlier version. Instead of a spread of pellets, it fires a single stake projectile, closer in feel to the Heavy Shotgun. It rewards accuracy and deals heavy damage on a clean hit. The standard version appears in chests and ground loot, while the Mythic drops from the FNAF bosses.

Dual Fiend Hunters

The Dual Fiend Hunters are two crossbows wielded together, sending multiple bolts out with each shot. They’re most effective at close range, but rank among the weaker options in the pool. You can find them in Uncommon, Rare, Epic, and Legendary rarities as chest or ground loot.

Candy and Quack Snacks consumables

Both Candy and Quack Snacks return as consumables you’ll pull from chests. Candy also spawns from Cheat Codes and the Snack-O’-Lantern Gizmo, and Slap Candy Corn can come from certain bosses or through the Loot Hack running until October 15.

Loot Hacks active until October 15

A set of Loot Hacks can be unlocked and upgraded during the first stretch of the event. This group stays in effect until October 15, when a second Fortnitemares update swaps in a new rotation.

  • Loot Hacker Sprite Variant
  • Infantry Rifle
  • Light Machine Gun
  • Pumpkin Launcher
  • Last Call
  • Slap Candy Corn

With Mythic and Exotic variants tied to bosses and vaults, the best items reward players willing to take fights at Nightmare Neighborhood and Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria rather than looting quietly. Keep an eye on the October 15 rollover, since the Loot Hacks and some Candy sources will shift with the second half of the event.
