Withered Tree Daminu Walkthrough in AION 2

For Elyos players in Poeta, Withered Tree Daminu is an Episode quest in the Island of Death chapter of Poeta. Nania, at the Dawn Legion Forward Base, assigns it; the trail leads through a Balaur-controlled forest to Clione Lake and the final surviving Elim. Its recommended level is 4, and Lost Supplies must be completed first.

Quick answer: Take the quest from Nania, talk to Ryan, then head northeast into Daminu Forest. Defeat four Forest Dratona, speak with Arno, drop into Clione Lake to destroy three Balaur Watchstones and four Forest Draconute Warriors, then talk to Daminu to turn it in.

Where to start Withered Tree Daminu

The quest is given by Nania, beside the large tent at Poeta’s Dawn Legion Forward Base. After Lost Supplies, a yellow marker appears above her. She says Daeva once came to Poeta for Ascension, and scouts have identified a lake that may be Clione Lake, an old Ascension location with abundant Odyle energy. She directs you to Ryan, the soldier who found the Elim.

Full walkthrough

Once the quest is accepted, head to Scout Soldier Ryan by the camp’s exit road and talk to him for his account. He verifies the lake’s existence and cautions that Balaur control the nearby grounds, while Dratona infest the route.

Follow the dirt trail northeast into Daminu Forest. Along the red-grass forest floor, find and defeat four Forest Dratona to clear the path. The objective ticks up as you kill each one.

Move on to the cliffside in Daminu Forest, where Scout Soldier Arno makes rounds at the vantage point overlooking the lake.

Talk to Arno. He tells you the lake water has turned red from the Balaur, that the single Elim protecting it remains pure, and that you must destroy the Balaur Watchstones on the way in.

Drop down into the red-tinted water of Clione Lake. Destroy three Balaur Watchstones and defeat four Forest Draconute Warriors guarding the area. Both counters appear together, so clear whatever is nearest and move between the scattered stones.

Once both tasks are done, take the illuminated route and orange waypoint beam from the lake toward the forest. Go up to the large living tree, Daminu, interact with it, then choose Complete to finish the quest.

Rewards and how to confirm completion

Talking to Daminu and pressing Complete turns the quest in. Daminu greets you with “This aura… Are you a Daeva?”, the quest clears from your tracker, and The Power in the Lake becomes available as the next step. That follow-up continues at Daminu, so you stay in the same spot to keep going.

Lost Supplies pays Kina (Bound) x1,400 along with Twilight Boots and Twilight Gloves. The Power in the Lake pays Kina (Bound) x1,600 and Lesser Daeva Wings (Bound) x1, and Fledgling Wings follows it.

The Power in the Lake has only two steps: investigate the cave behind Daminu (Clione Lake Cave), then arrive in the Ascension Subspace. Asahr is waiting there to take the turn-in.

Forest Dratona

Forest Dratona are level 4 Cogni of normal rank, matching the quest’s recommended level. They are not aggressive, so they will not come at you as you pass and you have to start each fight yourself. The game lists 56 spawn points across Daminu Forest and Clione Lake, which leaves plenty of targets for the four kills the quest asks for.

Scout Soldier Ryan is stationed at the Dawn Legion Forward Base, and Scout Soldier Arno stands in Daminu Forest. Both carry the Dawn Legion title.
