Hellraiser: Revival Endings and How to Unlock Both Achievements

Both outcomes split in the final apartment scene, and one autosave lets you claim each without replaying the campaign.

Both outcomes split in the final apartment scene, and one autosave lets you claim each without replaying the campaign.

The finale of Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival puts Aidan Lynch at a crossroads. Following the Ritual of Rebirth, Sunny tells him she has struck a separate pact with the Cenobites, then escapes through the portal alongside the Ascendant, leaving him behind. Aidan remains in the apartment with Deep Throat, the Female Cenobite beside the portal, and the Merchant. As the gap in the wall narrows, your action before it shuts determines the outcome.

Quick answer: Enter the wall breach before it seals to join the Cenobites (Experience Beyond Limits); stay where you are until it closes to remain human (Human After All). Each choice awards a different achievement.

How the final choice works in Hellraiser: Revival

There is no dialogue choice here. When the closing scene finishes, control returns to Aidan in the room, with the wall breach gradually closing. Your movement determines the result: head for Deep Throat and the portal to side with the Cenobites, or remain in place until the breach shuts to keep your humanity.

Remaining in place is an intentional option, not a missed task. The human outcome requires no secret prompt, combat, or puzzle. You have only a short chance to enter before the breach seals on its timer.

Neither path reunites Aidan with Sunny, the goal he chased for the whole campaign. The only difference is what remains of him afterward. Both ending achievements also count toward the Platinum trophy, To Hell and Back, so completionists need to see each outcome once.

Human After All: Stay human

Wait in place for the breach to seal. Deep Throat goes on alone, while Aidan stays in the apartment beside the Merchant. In the final scene, Aidan sits and talks about beginning again, resolved to make the most of his second chance.

At sunrise, he puts out his cigarette and resolves to face what comes next. Though badly scarred, he survives without Sunny, and the reunion he sought never comes. Aidan retains his humanity and can pursue a life beyond the Labyrinth. Turning down the offer awards Human After All.

Experience Beyond Limits: Become a Cenobite

Move quickly toward Deep Throat by the portal and reach for her before the breach shuts. Metal chains drive through Aidan’s hand, holding him fast. The Female Cenobite begins the flesh sacrifice by ripping out his tongue.

Darkness surrounds Aidan as additional chains drop and tear into him. Before he crosses the portal, he sees his happiest moments with Sunny again, marking his departure from human life. Chains pierce his entire body; his eyes become empty black as he transforms into a Cenobite. The game says nothing further about his place in the order, and taking the offer does not bring Sunny back to him. This route awards Experience Beyond Limits.

How to get both endings in one playthrough

A final autosave records the apartment choice, letting you earn both achievements without another campaign run. Either outcome can come first; neither offers an advantage. Since Hellraiser: Revival lacks Chapter Select and New Game Plus, returning to that decision depends on this last save.

Before you decide in the apartment, create a manual save as insurance alongside the autosave.

Finish the Ritual of Rebirth and the last section of the Labyrinth, then view the ensuing apartment cutscene.
Pick your first ending. Walk through the opening to join the Cenobites, or stay put until it seals to remain human. Let the ending play all the way through so its achievement unlocks.
Open the main menu and select the final autosave. You’ll resume as the apartment decision starts.
Choose the other option. After the alternate ending finishes, its achievement unlocks, completing the set.

On Hard and Hellraiser difficulty

Hard disables autosaves and provides fewer save points. On Hellraiser difficulty, each save costs one Save Token. For either setting, only a manual save from before the finale lets you revisit the decision; reserve a Save Token for this on Hellraiser. Complete the story and choose an ending, then reload that save, repeat the Ritual of Rebirth, and select the other route to earn the remaining achievement.

Is there a secret ending?

There are precisely two ending achievements, with no third campaign outcome tied to collectibles, rituals, or earlier decisions. You will not find a Leviathan ending or a concealed ritual that alters the finale. Collectibles like the Pain and Suffering Pillars count toward separate achievements and do not change the last scene. Nothing in a post-game mode unlocks another route after the credits.

Saber Interactive has not declared either outcome canon. The finale leaves the decision to you without marking either option good or bad, so choose the one that matches your interpretation of Aidan. Check your trophy or achievement list: the set is complete once Human After All and Experience Beyond Limits are both unlocked.
