Zenless Zone Zero 3.3 release status
Status: Confirmed. The update rolls out on October 21, 2026, following the standard patch cadence of roughly 42 days, with each banner phase running about 21 days. The update typically opens around 11 AM (UTC+8) after maintenance, in line with previous versions.
The patch is called Journey to the Sky, which continues the story inside the floating city of Roscaelifer where the Proxies are currently based.
New agents: Phoenix and Severian
| Agent | Element | Specialty | Faction |
|---|---|---|---|
| Phoenix | Fire | Anomaly | Krampus Compliance Authority |
| Severian | Wind | Attack | Metropolitan Order Division |
Phoenix is a Fire Anomaly specialist and medical assistant for the Krampus Compliance Authority. Her kit can make negative effects deal critical damage, and Rebirth lets her revive herself in combat.
Severian is an Attack agent and the first character to use the newly introduced Wind element in an attacking role. He serves as commissioner of the Metropolitan Order Division and unleashes heavy melee hits, nuking targets through his Special Skill.
3.3 banner schedule
| Phase | Dates | Debut | Rerun |
|---|---|---|---|
| Phase 1 | Oct 21 – Nov 11, 2026 | Phoenix | Velina |
| Phase 2 | Nov 11 – Dec 1, 2026 | Severian | Norma |
Phoenix opens the version alongside a Velina rerun. Severian takes over in the second half next to a Norma rerun. Each pairing runs for the full three-week phase.
New W-Engines and outfits
Three W-Engines arrive with the patch:
- Plume of Rebirth (Phoenix’s signature)
- Incarcerating Grip (Severian’s signature)
- Candlelit Scheme (A-Rank)
The Spooky Funhouse Tales event’s mission stages are the sole way to earn Candlelit Scheme, a free A-Rank W-Engine.
Three outfits also enter the shop. Daydream Complex and The Illness Called Life are both for Phoenix and can be bought separately or as a limited-time set. Solemnly Impeccable is Severian’s commissioner work uniform, the same look he wore during his first appearance in Season 2.
Story, events, and rewards
The main story continues with Season 3 Chapter 4, Journey to the Sky, digging further into the internal conflicts of Roscaelifer and the truth behind the Sunbringer.
The event and game-mode lineup for the version includes:
- Enigma of the Labyrinth: Spooky Trial
- Annihilation Simulacrum
- Spooky Funhouse Tales
- Cyber Miracle Healer, on Duty!
- Trails of the Hobbling Crow
- Repair! Drifting Art
Rewards across the update include 10x Encrypted Master Tape from the All-New Program and 10x Boopons from the “Eh-Nah” Into Your Lap event. Clearing every mission stage in Spooky Funhouse Tales unlocks the Angels of Delusion cosmetic set.
Quality-of-life updates are included as well. Strategy Station Integration adds guide entry points in the Agent menu and Function menu, plus the Compendium and Beginner Guide. A risk warning appears before combat in some permanent endgame modes, while Proxy Rank-up Iteration cleans up the Proxy profile interface.
Honkai: Star Rail crossover characters
The long-teased ZZZ x Honkai: Star Rail crossover now has a confirmed roster. Kafka and Robin will join New Eridu in Version 3.4, not 3.3. Their kits and abilities are expected to be revealed in full during the next Special Program.
Livestream redemption code
One livestream code is live right now: JRNY2SKY. It grants 300x Polychromes, 2x Senior Investigator Logs, 3x W-Engine Energy Modules, and 30,000x Dennies. The code expires on October 11, 2026, at 11:59 PM (UTC+8), so redeem it before then.
You can claim it directly on the official redemption page while signed in to your account. The rewards drop into your in-game mail once the code is accepted.
With the date set for October 21 and both agents confirmed, the only thing left before launch day is deciding whether Phoenix or Severian gets your Polychromes first.
