Rebirth is the reset-for-multipliers mechanic in Shoot for Eggs. Pressing it wipes your current Cash, damage, and levels, and in return hands you permanent increases to how fast your damage grows and how fast your animals earn Cash. Those boosts stack on everything you do afterward, which is why the mechanic becomes the backbone of long-term progress rather than an optional extra.
Quick answer: Rebirth clears Cash, damage, and levels, but gives you lasting multipliers for damage gains and Cash earnings. Activate it as soon as the Ready label appears above the Rebirth button.

What Rebirth resets and what it grants
A Rebirth gives you a soft reboot. Your Cash balance, your damage stat, and your levels all go back down, so the run starts over from a low baseline. The trade is permanent: your damage climbs faster than before and your pets generate noticeably more income from that point on.
The payoff shows up in two concrete ways. Higher damage gain means you break eggs, including tankier ones, at a quicker pace. The Cash multiplier means every animal on your plot pays out more per second, so you refill the balance you just reset and then pull well ahead of where you were.
One recorded run showed the exact bonuses attached to its Rebirth threshold. Treat these as the shape of the reward, not a fixed table, since the numbers and the requirement can differ as you progress.
| Multiplier | Value |
|---|---|
| Bullet gain | x2.5 |
| Cash gain | x3.0 |
| Ammo / speed | x1.8 |
| Income | x2.0 |

You can Rebirth once your Cash reaches the threshold shown in the Rebirth menu. That threshold is not a cap. Your Cash keeps climbing past it, so if you keep earning without checking the menu you can sit far above the requirement without gaining anything for the overflow.
The Rebirth button on the left displays a Ready label the moment the option unlocks. Pressing it then means you reset with the least wasted Cash and effort. In the early game the absence of these multipliers barely registers, but once you approach the million-Cash mark the shortfall in damage and income becomes obvious. Rebirthing as soon as you can keeps growth from stalling.
The Rebirth menu shows how much more Cash you still need, for example a “Need $20.7M more cash” line against a target such as $27M. Use it to time the press rather than guessing from your balance.

Guns Rebirth unlocks
The gun shop’s top shelf is accessible only after Rebirth. Below it, the Cash-only lineup begins with Slingshot, Flintlock, and Revolver; then come Musket and MP5, followed by Crossbow, M16, and P90. AK-47 comes next, with Blaster and Plasma Gun after it. The Lever Action Rifle is near the top of these rows. Rebirth unlocks the five weapons above them, and you can then purchase each one with Cash as usual.
| Gun | How to get it |
|---|---|
| Flamethrower | Rebirth, then buy with Cash |
| Sniper | Rebirth, then buy with Cash |
| Grenade Launcher | Rebirth, then buy with Cash |
| Minigun | Rebirth, then buy with Cash |
| RPG | Rebirth, then $5,000,000 (Mythic) |
The RPG is the strongest gun on that shelf, priced at $5,000,000 after a Rebirth, and nothing is documented beyond it. A second Rebirth speeds up reaching that price because income accelerates each time. In the recorded session the RPG one-shot eggs for the rest of the run, including a Transcendent Egg.

How to confirm the Rebirth worked
After a successful Rebirth, a gun row that was gated will list a standard Cash cost instead of a Rebirth requirement. Buy and equip the gun, and it will fire. Your damage increases faster, while Cash builds back up more quickly than it did before the reset.
Pressing the button does not always register on the first try. In one session the player attempted it around a $3,000,000 balance, the first press did nothing, and a later press worked. A button that fails once is not proof you are short, so try again if nothing happens.
The exact Cash cost, the stat requirement, and precisely what carries over are not published and can differ by server and progression point. Read the confirmation text on the Rebirth button before you commit, and do not sell or keep animals based on a guessed reset. The button in your own server is the only reliable source for the current requirement.
