Fishing Master turns every catch into a short fight. You cast a line, hook a fish, and then wear down its health bar before a fatigue meter fills and the fish breaks free. The opening tutorial walks you through the four actions you repeat for the rest of the game: roll a skill, equip it to your rod, win the fishing minigame, and sell the fish for Coins.
Quick answer: Talk to the Fishing Guide on the dock, roll once at the Skill Master, bind the new skill to key Z in the Equip menu, cast inside the glowing “Fish Here” circle, answer the WASD prompts and press Z, then sell your catch to Nana the Fish Merchant.
Start the tutorial with the Fishing Guide
You spawn on the dock. A tutorial banner tells you to listen to the Fishing Guide, and yellow chevron arrows on the ground point you toward each objective. Follow them whenever you lose track of where to go next.
Walk up to the Fishing Guide NPC and interact to open the dialogue. This begins the tutorial and marks your next target with the yellow arrows.

Add to Google Preferences →Roll a skill at the Skill Master
Skills are the attacks that do most of your damage during a fishing fight, so you need one before you catch anything. Follow the yellow arrows through the village to the Skill Master NPC and interact to open the Skill Gacha.
Your first roll is free. Click Roll X1 FREE to pull a skill. During the tutorial this awards Great Heaven-Equal Fishing Art, a Common skill marked “New!”. After the free roll, further single rolls cost Coins, and a ten-pull costs 425,000 Coins.

Each roll is random, and rarer skills hit harder. The rates and pity counters shown at the Skill Master are below.
| Rarity | Roll chance | Pity |
|---|---|---|
| Common | 50% | — |
| Uncommon | 30% | — |
| Rare | 14% | — |
| Legendary | 5.5% | 0 / 50 |
| Mythical | 0.5% | 0 / 500 |
A skill book attaches to your rod when you learn it, and removing a learned skill destroys it permanently. Think before pulling a skill off a rod later on.
Equip the skill to your rod
A skill you own does nothing until it sits in a skill slot. Open the Equip menu from the left sidebar, then switch to the Skills tab.
Click your new skill, then click the skill slot bound to key Z to attach it. The starter Wooden Rod has one open slot on Z; the second slot, on X, stays locked until later. The rod itself gives +117 Attack Damage and +1 Luck, which is the base your skill builds on.

Win the fishing minigame
Return to the pier and step into the brightly lit circle labeled Fish Here. Press 1 to select the Wooden Rod, then left-click to cast your line into the zone.
Once a fish hooks, the fight begins. The fish has a health bar, and underneath it a fatigue meter steadily fills. Your job is to empty the health bar before the fatigue meter tops out. Keep clicking to deal damage, and watch the center of the screen for direction prompts.

When a large PULL prompt appears with a letter, press that WASD key right away. Each correct input deals extra damage and holds the fish in place. Press Z to fire your equipped skill for a big chunk of damage whenever it is ready.

Miss too many prompts and the fish gets away, with a notice like “Glow Hornfish escaped!” That is a normal setback, so recast into the circle and try again. When you drain the health bar, a “Fish Caught!” screen shows the fish, its rarity, and its weight, such as a Common Metal Shark at 12.23 KG. That screen is your confirmation the catch landed and the fish is in your Satchel.
Sell your catch to the Fish Merchant
Follow the marker into town to the Fish Merchant, Nana, and interact at the counter. She greets you and asks what you are selling.

Pick Sell All, then Confirm Sell All on the price prompt. A Metal Shark sells for around 538 Coins. The message “Sold 1 fish for 538 Coins” and your updated Coin counter in the top-left confirm the sale, and selling your first fish finishes the tutorial and opens up regular play.

What to do after the tutorial
Once the loop is open, the fastest early boost is the Rewards menu. The Day 1 daily reward hands out 10,000 Coins (and some Gems), which is far more than a single fish sale and pays for your first rod upgrade almost immediately.
From there, the core progression is a cycle. Catch and sell fish for Coins, buy a stronger rod from a Rod Merchant for more Attack Damage and Luck, roll better skills at the Skill Master, and equip rod skins and Auras for extra stat bonuses. Rod mastery rises as you catch, and higher mastery opens more skill slots. When your damage and income grow, open the Fast Travel map and head to the next island, where tougher, more valuable fish wait. Repeat the loop on each island, hunt down hidden Rod NPCs and their quests, and keep upgrading before moving into harder waters.
