The Lost Shotgun is the strongest firearm in Slayers 2, carrying an Impossible rarity and far higher damage than the regular Shotgun. You pull it out of the water by fishing with the Legendary Fishing Rod, which is itself the end of a long questline that begins at Mistfall Harbor.

Quick answer: The Legendary Fishing Rod can reel in the Lost Shotgun. Since it is an Impossible-rarity catch, be prepared for a lengthy grind. You can also craft it at Ouwland.

You must be playing as a Human/Slayer to use this weapon. Demons cannot equip the Lost Shotgun.

Shotgun vs. Lost Shotgun stats

There are two shotguns in Slayers 2, and they are not the same weapon. The regular Shotgun is a Legendary crafted at Ouwland. The Lost Shotgun is the Impossible-rarity version with a Duelist class and much higher numbers across the board.

StatShotgunLost Shotgun
RarityLegendaryImpossible
Additional damage+2+5.75
Damage factor1.043x1.15x
Block points+2.7+7.85
Block regen—2.29x
Max stamina—+5

Upgrading pushes the gap wider. A +7 Lost Shotgun reaches roughly +9 additional damage, and its active attack hits hard enough to extend combos, which is why it holds up in PvP. The ranged attacks let you keep enemies outside their reach while you wear down their HP.

Get the Legendary Fishing Rod first

The Lost Shotgun only comes out of the water with the Legendary Fishing Rod, so earning that rod is the real gate. The chain starts at Level 45 in Mistfall Harbor and runs through two cheaper rods before you inherit the legendary one from a ghost.

Once you reach Level 45, make your way to Mistfall Harbor. Fishing remains unavailable before then.
Take the fishing permit quest from Dockmaster Sofon.
Pick up the permit stamp from a wooden crate by the docks, then return it to Dockmaster Sofon to complete the permit.
For 3,500 Wen, get the Basic Fishing Rod from Fisherman Jesso.
Once you have 5 Golden Fish and 10,000 Wen saved, pay Fisherman Jesso 10,000 Wen for the Rare Fishing Rod.

With the Rare Fishing Rod, reel in Crastadon and Crathalon. The ghost later calls for two Crastadon and two Crathalon.
Wait until night, then use the Basic Fishing Rod without bait at Mistfall Harbor’s rocky ledge by the red bridge to catch the Drowned Lure.

During the night, go beneath the red bridge to find the ghost of Legendary Fisherman Isao, and hand over 2 Crastadon and 2 Crathalon.

Go to the river fishing spot beside the tree. Equip the Drowned Lure and keep fishing there until you get the Legendary Fishing Rod. With it in your inventory, you can begin farming the shotgun.

Farm the Lost Shotgun by fishing

With the Legendary Fishing Rod equipped, the shotgun becomes a catch like any other piece of rare equipment. There is no set number of catches that guarantees it. Because of its Impossible rarity, this is a long-term grind measured in hours, and some players report far longer before it appears.

You can speed up the pulls with the right titles and bait. Fish Head (Rare) or the Golden Tentacle legendary bait draws better bites than the Drowned Lure for this grind, and three fishing titles stack luck and bite speed.

Many players run an AFK fishing macro to leave the farm going unattended, and fishing macros are not a bannable offense in Slayers 2. Manual fishing works too; it just means sitting through a very long session. A dark-textured rooftop ledge in Mistfall Harbor gives a macro high contrast against the white target box if you go that route.

You know it worked when the Lost Shotgun shows up in your rewards with its Impossible tag. Grab it before anything else, and avoid discarding catches blindly while farming.

Final Selection drops the schematic, not the Lost Shotgun

Defeating the Lost Slayer in Final Selection only gives the regular Shotgun schematic, which you take to a gunsmith at Ouwland to craft the standard Legendary version. That boss route never drops the Lost Shotgun. Fishing is the only way to pull the Impossible weapon itself.

Other Lost gear you can fish up

The same fishing sessions can net the rest of the Lost set, so the grind doubles as collection work. Pieces that can surface include:

  • Lost Outfit
  • Lost Mask
  • Lost Lantern
  • Lost Cape
  • Mythic Ore

The Lost Shotgun is mostly a test of patience once the Legendary Fishing Rod is yours. Keep the line in the water, hold onto the rare pulls, and the Impossible drop eventually surfaces.
