World bosses in AION 2 fall into two camps that behave completely differently. The named field bosses scattered across Verteron and Altgard run on a kill-based cooldown, so their clock only starts ticking once you drop them. The Abyss bosses in Chaotic Lower Reshanta ignore that entirely and appear on fixed daily or weekly windows tied to the server clock. Knowing which system a boss uses is the whole game when you are trying to be standing on its spawn point at the right moment.

Quick answer: Verteron and Altgard field bosses respawn 1 to 12 hours after each kill — open the map, go to Exploration, then Field Boss for a live countdown. Reshanta Abyss bosses run on fixed daily or weekly schedules instead.

How to check field boss timers in-game

Every regional map keeps its own live list of field bosses, with each one showing either Spawned or a running Time Left countdown down to the second. This is the only timer that reflects your actual server state, so treat it as the source of truth over any external chart.

Open the regional map, for example Map: Verteron. It loads on the Kibelisk tab by default.
Choose Exploration from the tab bar on the map screen. The categories shown are Sealed Dungeon, Stronghold, and Field Boss.
Select Field Boss. The list shows every boss in the zone with its current status, the remaining respawn time, and the exact distance from your character in meters. Clicking a boss centers the map on its spawn point, opens its loot panel, and gives you a Travel button to head straight there.

A boss reading Spawned is up right now. A boss showing something like Time Left 5h 58m 55s will not appear until that clock hits zero, at which point the entry flips to Spawned.

Field boss respawn intervals

Field bosses in Verteron and Altgard do not share one global timer. Each has its own cooldown that begins counting only after the boss dies. Kill Melted Danar and its one-hour clock restarts; the commander-type bosses sit on much longer cooldowns. These are the intervals you can plan around.

BossRespawn after kill
Melted Danar1 hour
Silent Dartan6 hours
Soul Ruler Kashapa6 hours
High Commander Lagta12 hours
Immortal Gartua12 hours

Because the countdown resets on death, a server where a boss was just killed and a server where it has sat untouched will show wildly different timers. Always confirm against the in-game Field Boss list before travelling.

Named field bosses in Verteron and Altgard

Three of the recurring commanders appear in both zones at the same level, each in a fixed spot. All of them are level 48 Hero-rank Cogni enemies and drop a guaranteed loot chest alongside their unique armor set, refining stones, and a 25% chance at their artwork.

High Commander Lagta

Lagta holds the Verteron Inspector title at Drana Plantation in Verteron and the Altgard Overseer title at Lagta Fortress in Altgard. Clearing it guarantees Lagta’s Loot Chest and can drop any piece of the matching armor and accessory set.

Soul Ruler Kashapa

Kashapa appears in Verteron and at Fafnite Deposit in Altgard. It guarantees Kashapa’s Loot Chest and shares the same drop structure of unique gear, manastones, and refining materials.

Silent Dartan

Dartan spawns at Southern Altamia Highland in Verteron and at Basfelt Ruins in Altgard. Its guaranteed Dartan’s Loot Chest sits on top of the usual unique set pieces and refining stones.

Reshanta Abyss boss schedules

The endgame bosses in Chaotic Lower Reshanta are the real reason to watch a clock. These are level 65 Hero-rank encounters built for a raid-sized group, and they drop the season’s top-end gear. Instead of a kill cooldown, they run on the server clock. Global regions all share one clock set to GMT+9, so convert these server times to your own timezone before planning a run.

BossSchedule (server time)Where
Watcher KairaEvery 3 hours from 01:00, dailyChaotic Lower Reshanta (roams)
Guardian Lord NahmaFriday & Sunday, 21:00Chaotic Lower Reshanta
Siege bosses (Argo, Kaira, Tamasa)Monday, Thursday, Saturday, 21:30Chaotic Lower Reshanta
Abyss Siege BossFriday & Sunday, 21:00Chaotic Lower Reshanta

Watcher Kaira is the interval boss of the group. It reappears every 180 minutes starting from 01:00 server time, every day, and spawns at a random location across the Archipelago of Siel’s Wings, Black Fragments Area, Devastated Remnants, and Sulfur Tree Island. Its guaranteed drops are the three tiers of refining stone, with a 43.4% shot at Balaur’s Essence on top.

Guardian Lord Nahma is the weekly target, surfacing on Friday and Sunday at 21:00 server time. Both of its variants follow that same window. It guarantees refining stones and carries a 25% chance each at the Colossus and Artwork collectibles.

The Executor siege bosses — Argo, Kaira, and Tamasa — appear together during the Abyss Siege rotation on Monday, Thursday, and Saturday, while the Abyss Siege Boss itself follows the Friday and Sunday window. Siege activity stays live for roughly thirty minutes once it opens, so queue up before the clock runs out rather than after it starts.

Keep in mind that the field boss list on your map is always accurate for your server, while the Reshanta schedules depend on your region’s clock and may shift with maintenance. When the two disagree, go with the in-game spawn notice — it is reading the live state that everything else is only predicting.
