Izuku Midoriya gets a new way to fight in My Hero Ultra Rumble with Season 19. The variant called Izuku Midoriya OFA arrives with a battle style named Rising, a full set of Quirk Skills centered on Blackchain and One For All, plus a casual outfit called Entrusted Hopes. The trailer lays out each ability in a match against Tomura Shigaraki and ends with a limited-time music change for the game’s final phase.
Quick answer: Rising is a new battle style for Izuku Midoriya OFA, using Blackchain whip attacks, a Blackchain + Gearshift mobility combo, the diving Faux 100% Manchester Smash, and the upward launcher One For All Smash: Rising.
The game is a free-to-play 24-player battle royale set in the My Hero Academia universe. You pick heroes and villains, team up, and fight to be the last squad standing while collecting items and powering up across the map. Season 19 adds Midoriya’s Rising style to that roster.
Rising battle style and its Quirk Skills
Rising leans on both Midoriya’s Blackchain and his signature smash attacks. Each Quirk Skill fills a clear role in a fight, from pulling enemies in at range to sending them straight up for a finishing blow.
| Skill | Name | Function |
|---|---|---|
| α | Blackchain | Mid-range whip strikes and grabs |
| α variant | Blackchain + Gearshift | Rapid repositioning with a striking follow-up |
| β | Faux 100% Manchester Smash | Aerial homing dive kick |
| γ | One For All Smash: Rising | Upward launcher and slam |

Blackchain and Gearshift
Quirk Skill α is Blackchain, which lashes out with black tendrils to strike and grab targets at mid range. Its combination form, Blackchain + Gearshift, trades some of that reach for speed, letting Midoriya dart across the battlefield and close in before striking.

Faux 100% Manchester Smash and One For All Smash: Rising
Quirk Skill β is Faux 100% Manchester Smash, a high-speed aerial dive kick that homes in on a target before exploding on impact. Quirk Skill γ, One For All Smash: Rising, works in the opposite direction. It launches an opponent skyward on a vertical burst of energy and slams them for the finish.

Rising comes with a new costume for Izuku Midoriya OFA called Entrusted Hopes. It swaps the dark vigilante look with cape and gauntlets for a casual outfit of a t-shirt and track pants. The trailer shows Midoriya running and fighting in it, matching the idea of a hero carrying the hopes passed to him by everyone around him.
“You Say Run” in the final phase of battle
For a limited period in Season 19, “You Say Run”—from the My Hero Academia TV animation soundtrack—accompanies the match’s closing combat. It starts only when the fight enters its final moments.
The “You Say Run” music change is limited to Season 19, so it is not a permanent addition.
