Tin Ore is a common crafting material in Enshrouded that you mine from veins inside the Shroud, and it only appears once you reach the Nomad Highlands region. You need it to smelt Tin Bars, which feed into Bronze and several mid-game crafting recipes, so every player eventually has to track it down.

Quick answer: In the Nomad Highlands, look for Tin Ore in caves and mine tunnels covered by the Shroud. For the quickest run, head to the cave in the shrouded gorge, just northwest of the Ancient Spire – Nomad Highlands.

Tin Ore requirements and where it spawns

Tin Ore sits inside level 18 content, so the Nomad Highlands is the region you want. Reaching it comfortably means unlocking the Ancient Spire there and raising your Flame Altar to level 4. The veins appear as dark rock studded with shiny blue-metallic flecks, embedded along cavern walls and floors inside Shroud mist.

Not every mine icon holds Tin. Mining Rift and Smothering Pit are named mines that contain Tin veins, but check the vein inside each cave before assuming it has what you need.

Fastest Tin Ore route from the Ancient Spire – Nomad Highlands

The quickest reliable deposit sits in a shrouded crevice a short glide from the Nomad Highlands spire. The cave is dense with Tin Ore and you can clear it in a single Shroud timer.

Fast travel to the Ancient Spire – Nomad Highlands, found on the eastern side of the map, across from the Ancient Spire – Revelwood. Open the world map to orient yourself against the surrounding landmarks before you move.

Walk out onto the north-west ledge at the top of the spire and look down between west and north, roughly WNW. You are aiming at a narrow canyon fissure filled with Shroud mist on the ground below.

Jump and glide down across the desert canyon, heading straight for the enshrouded crevice. The glide saves you the slow climb down the hillside and drops you near the entrance.

Land at the ravine entrance and open the map to confirm your pin sits just north-northwest of the spire. This check keeps you from wandering into the wrong fissure.

Clear the beetle-like Shroud insects that roam inside, then swing a pickaxe at the glowing blue-metallic veins on the walls and floor. Each vein drops Tin Ore along with Mycelium and Limestone, plus mining XP. Push deeper into the pocket for larger ground veins.

Other Tin Ore locations across the Nomad Highlands

If you want to stock up in bulk, several named mines and cave passages across the Nomad Highlands and neighbouring Low Meadows carry Tin veins. Many are occupied by Vukah or Fell enemies, so clear a path before you start mining.

The valley running from the northwestern mining pit east toward the spire is also packed with Copper Ore, so you can gather both metals in one trip if you intend to craft Bronze. The Umber Hollow deposits give the highest Tin density, but there is no quick way to refill your Shroud timer inside, so carry Shroud Protection Potions for longer sessions.

You can also smash vases and destructible objects around major Flame Shrines and Towers in the Highlands and Desert biomes for a chance at Tin Ore or Tin Bars without mining.

What Tin Ore is used to make

The main reason to farm Tin Ore is Tin Bars, smelted from the raw ore with fuel and Wood Acid. Those bars then combine with Copper Bars and Charcoal to produce Bronze Bars. Tin Ore also appears as an ingredient in a handful of decorative Coloring Station recipes.

StationIngredientsOutput
Smelter15 Tin Ore + 5 Charcoal + 2 Wood Acid3 Tin Bars
Blast Furnace20 Tin Ore + 6 Coal + 4 Wood Acid6 Tin Bars

Gather your Wood Acid and fuel before you head out to mine, so the ore does not sit unprocessed at your base once you return.

Confirming you have mined Tin Ore

The inventory notification confirms a Tin vein when it lists Tin Ore, typically alongside Mycelium and Limestone in quantities of four to six. Pin a cave with good deposits on your map, then revisit it with a repaired pickaxe; nodes return at the daily reset. If you want to farm the same location again sooner, restart your server to bring the veins back.
