The eighth secret talisman hides inside a rare Overworld rift tile, and here is how to farm it fast.

The Ocelot’s Paw is one of the secret talismans in Minecraft Dungeons 2, hidden inside a chest that sits behind a cliff wall in a rare rift tile. It counts toward the collection you need to open the Overworld’s secret door and reach the Mosstrosity boss. Finding it comes down to entering the right rifts, recognizing one specific canyon layout, and bailing out of everything else quickly.

Quick answer: Run Overworld rifts next to fast-travel points and watch the minimap for a snaking multi-branch canyon tile. When you see it, follow the high-walled passage to an interactable red wall, open it to reveal the chest, and loot the Ocelot’s Paw.

What the Ocelot’s Paw does

The Ocelot’s Paw boosts your jumping melee attacks. It levels up to three like every talisman, gaining experience as you play, and the damage bonus scales with each level.

It is the eighth of the nine secret talismans. Collecting all eight of the hidden ones opens the secret door, and defeating the Mosstrosity behind it awards the ninth reward, Wonderful Wheat.

Where the Ocelot’s Paw spawns

The talisman lives inside rifts you enter from the Overworld. It only appears in one particular tile, built as a snaking passage with tall canyon walls and several branching paths. That tileset is uncommon, so most rifts will not contain it, and you will need to reroll through several before it shows up.

You can spot the tile from the top-right minimap. The correct layout shows a distinct winding path with multiple branches rather than a simple straight corridor. Learning to read that shape at a glance is what makes the farm fast, because it lets you reject bad rifts within seconds.

Inside that tile, the chest is tucked into a red-tinted cliff wall along the twisting passage. It is invisible at first. As you approach the wall, a glowing hexagonal “Open A” prompt appears and the chest’s outline shows through the rock. Interact with it to reveal and open the chest.

On keyboard and mouse the wall prompt can be unresponsive. Switch to a controller, or hover the cursor directly over the chest behind the wall and click on that instead.

Set up a speed build first

Because you will be entering and leaving many rifts, movement speed saves a lot of time. Two pieces stand out for this run.

  • Boots carrying the Springload enchantment grant the Hurrying status for 6 seconds when you activate an artifact, boosting movement speed.
  • The Medallion of Momentum talisman, which raises movement speed by up to 30% once you have been moving for more than 3 seconds.

Both of these keep you moving quickly through the canyon passages and between rift entrances, which matters when you are rerolling the layout over and over.

Farm the rifts efficiently

Open the Overworld map and find rifts positioned right next to fast-travel waypoints. Good examples are the rifts around Honeycomb Fields near Brave Haven, or near Archie’s Ruins in the Frozen Highlands. Being close to a waypoint lets you reach each rift almost instantly.
Enter a rift and glance at the minimap. If a boss arena triggers immediately, such as a Sculk Monstrosity, turn around and leave right away. Fighting it wastes time unless you are specifically after boss drops.
Tip 2: Skipping Boss Arenas02:25Tip 2: Skipping Boss Arenas
If a boss arena like the Sculk Monstrosity loads in, exit the rift instead of fighting. Shown at 02:25 in WEDZGAMING’s video. Image: Mojang Studios
When no boss appears, follow the main route ahead for about 10 to 15 seconds and keep an eye on the minimap. If the branching canyon tile is still absent after that brief stretch, leave the rift and continue elsewhere. You do not need to cover the entire area.
Check the remaining rifts that sit next to fast-travel points the same way. Cycle through all of the convenient ones before changing your approach.
If none of them contain the tile, fully close the game from your console dashboard and relaunch it. On Xbox that is the guide button, then Menu, then Quit. This properly rerolls and resets the active rifts.
Tip 4: Fast Travel Rifts & Game Restart04:10Tip 4: Fast Travel Rifts & Game Restart
A full dashboard quit rerolls the rifts; the in-game Save and Exit does not do the same. Shown at 04:10 in WEDZGAMING’s video. Image: Mojang Studios

Use the full application quit, not the in-game “Save and Exit” menu. Only closing the game from the console dashboard refreshes the rift pool and gives you fresh rolls.

How to confirm you got it

Opening the wall chest drops a “New talisman” notification and adds the Ocelot’s Paw to your inventory. Your secret talisman counter ticks up, reading Ocelot’s Paw as number 8 of 9. Once all eight hidden talismans are collected, you will see the pop-up confirming you have gathered the full set, and the Overworld prompt announcing that a secret door has opened. That door leads to the Mosstrosity and the final Wonderful Wheat reward.
