Storm at the Grave is an encounter you trigger southeast of the village in Qingzhou Eastern Peak, part of the Qinghe region in Where Winds Meet. A sudden, localized downpour begins as you approach, and a man named Big Li waits weeping beside his family graves. Resolving it means recovering a buried case from his abandoned estate and returning it to him.
Quick answer: Shelter in the hut at the grave area to meet Big Li, dig up his case by the stone well at the old estate, speak to Old Man Chen, then deliver the case back to Big Li.
Where Storm at the Grave starts
Open the world map at Qingzhou Eastern Peak and place a waypoint southeast of the town. The encounter sits on rocky, grassy terrain, and the quest icon reads “Storm at the Grave” once you draw near.
Rain starts falling heavily as you travel toward the point. This weather is tied to the encounter itself. Entering the specific grave area stops the downpour, and stepping back out resumes it until everything is resolved.
If you see “Insufficient Exploration Progress in Qingzhou,” Wallstride is locked in that spot until you raise your exploration token for the zone. Travel around on foot rather than relying on it here.
Head southeast from the village toward the marked grave area. The heavy rain will begin as you cross the open ground, which is the signal you are in the right place.
Step inside the small thatched wooden hut when the rain is pouring. The moment you enter, the rain stops and a crying sound starts nearby. Your first objective, “Find the source of the crying,” points you onward.

At the big tree with red ribbons, you’ll find Big Li kneeling in tears beside the grave monuments. Speak with him; once he gets up, he tells you what’s happened and requests that you retrieve a case from his family’s former home.
Leave the grave area and head west, following the objective marker to the deserted family home. Rain resumes as soon as you depart, because clear weather is limited to the grave area.

At the ruined estate, listen to Old Zhu and Youme Zhu talking outside the wall about Big Li. This completes the “Find the source of the crying again” objective before you can dig.
In the yard, go to the stone well and activate F Dig to unearth Big Li’s Case. It is added directly to your inventory as an owned item.

Speak to Old Man Chen nearby to explain why you dug up the case. He fills in Big Li’s past and the story of his childhood, which clears the “Explain your intentions to Old Man Chen” objective.
Run back to the grave tree where Big Li waits and submit the case to him with the Space Submit prompt. The closing dialogue covers his plan to tame the river called Black Dragon, and finishing it ends the encounter.
