Where to start The Way of the Leek

The tale begins at Crownleek Terrace, just south of Greenshade Village in the Qingzhou-Eastern Peak region. The fastest approach is to fast travel to the Sageplow Stead boundary stone and walk south into the leek rows, where Zhu Ling is pacing among the crops.

Step-by-step walkthrough

Open the regional map and teleport to Sageplow Stead in Crownleek Terrace. Once you spawn in, drop a marker on the nearby leek terraces so the path south is easy to follow.

Run down the village path into the leek patch and speak with Zhu Ling. She explains that she has lost a secret cultivation manual with Super Leek Manual written on its cover.

Check the tale’s clue log, then head east and down to the open wooden shelter with long tables. Interact with the table to pick up the Super Leek Manual. This is the authentic book you need.

Teleport back to Sageplow Stead and set a second marker on the fields to the southwest. This points you toward the small thatch hut that holds the spoof manual.

Cross the crop terraces to the small hut and pick up the Supper Leek Manual from the wooden table inside. This one is an optional find and reads as parody, suggesting you blow on crops, hang talismans, and play the lute to channel Qi.

Sprint over the field until you reach Zhu Ling again, then select Give. The turn-in menu displays both books; choose the Super Leek Manual, not the Supper Leek Manual.

Only the Super Leek Manual is the genuine book. Its cover reads “Expert Methods for Cultivating Crown Leek,” so match that title if you are unsure which one to hand over.

The exchange closes the tale as Zhu Ling discovers that a crooked vendor sold her copies of her own farming notes.

How to confirm the tale is done

After the dialogue ends, a “Wandering Tales: The Way of the Leek Ending” notification appears along with the reward payout. The tale then shows as Completed in the Wandering Tales menu, and the Qingzhou Exploration progress ticks up by 10. If you still see the quest as active, return to Zhu Ling and make sure you handed over the Super Leek Manual rather than the Supper Leek Manual.
