Metal Scraps are one of the first crafting materials you chase in Enshrouded, because the Blacksmith needs them to make a Scrappy Sword, a Spiked Club, and early armor pieces. The quickest early supply sits in the ruined settlement of Rookmore, where Scavengers drop the material and camp debris holds more of it.

Quick answer: Glide down to Rookmore, northwest of your starting Flame Altar past the Braelyn Bridge chasm, then defeat Scavengers and loot their remains and containers to collect Metal Scraps.

What Metal Scraps are in Enshrouded

Metal Scraps are a common Springlands crafting material. They carry a Level 5 tag and stack high, so you can hold a large reserve in a single inventory slot without clutter.

Reach Rookmore from your Flame Altar

Rookmore sits north to northwest of the starting altar area, on the far side of the chasm near Braelyn Bridge. From the high cliffs beside your home base you can reach it fast by gliding straight toward the settlement gate.

Open your Journal and read the “Forge Weaponry or Armor” quest. It confirms the material you need and marks a Metal Scraps collection spot on the map, and finishing it rewards 150 XP.
Open the World Map and check the markers near your base and Braelyn Bridge. This shows the route toward Rookmore so you leave in the right direction.

Leave the base past the Blacksmith and head for the cliff edge. From the high ground, leap off and open your glider to descend directly toward the settlement entrance below.

Landing at Rookmore charts the location and unlocks the Scavenger Bonfire recipe along with several more workbench recipes, so the trip pays off even before you start looting.

Loot Metal Scraps inside Rookmore

Scavengers patrol the settlement and attack on sight. Defeat them and search their remains for Metal Scraps, then sweep the camp piles and debris containers for more. A single run through Rookmore comfortably covers your first crafting needs.

Clear the first Scavenger near the entrance path and loot the body or container beside it. A single find here can yield around 6 Metal Scraps.

Other ways to get Metal Scraps

Rookmore is not the only supply once you are past the earliest hours. Metal Scraps come from several Scavenger types, from destroyed metal objects, and as physical pickups scattered in the world.

  • Scavenger Berserker, Scavenger Scalper, Scavenger Scrapgun, and Scavenger Wolf each drop 0–1 per kill.
  • Hollow Reaper drops 0–3, and Hollow Soldier drops 0–1.
  • Break crates, barrels, and other metal camp objects with a pickaxe or axe to release scraps.
  • Metal pods inside the Ancient Vault – Blacksmith yield scraps when you break them open.

What to craft with Metal Scraps

Carry the scraps back to the Blacksmith to complete the “Forge Weaponry or Armor” quest by crafting a Scrappy Sword, a Spiked Club, or an armor piece. The material also feeds a wide range of tools, building parts, and decorations across other stations.

  • Starter gear at the Blacksmith: Scrappy Sword, Spiked Club, Nails, Scrappy Axe, and Scrappy Pickaxe.
  • Metal Sheets at the Forge, made from Charcoal and Metal Scraps.
  • Furniture and building items such as the Camp Bed, Brazier, Chandelier, and Carved Wooden Door.

You know the trip worked when the quest log updates after you craft an item at the Blacksmith, and your inventory shows the Metal Scraps stack growing with each Scavenger and container you clear. If you would rather skip the crafting route, the same quest also completes when you beat the Elixir Well.
