Hannah Reed is a villager in the Springlands who is looking for her missing daughter, Marianne Reed. The quest she gives, Hannah Reed Needs Help, sends you to a Vukah camp on the Vukah Ceremony Hill, where Marianne’s soul is held. Collect Marianne Reed’s soul to complete the quest, then summon her at your base.
What the quest asks for
The single objective, Find Marianne Reed, reads:
“The villager Hannah Reed is missing her daughter and hopes you can find her near the Vukah Ceremony Hill. Investigate the area and search for pure souls there!”
Hannah Reed herself is a survivor you rescue earlier at Fort Kelvin, in the Springlands, during the quest We, The Only Ones. That quest explains why the town matters:
“You’ve found and rescued a farmer named Fenrig Mills. He wonders where everyone is. Before he passed, the town of Fort Kelvin was said to be a safe place for travelers. He suggested you search the town for any survivors, or people like him which you could bring back to life!”
How to find and rescue Marianne Reed
Summon Marianne Reed at your base
Collecting the soul rescues Marianne Reed, but you still bring her into the world at a base of yours built around a Flame Altar. If you have not summoned a survivor before, the process is the same one covered in the walkthrough for awakening the survivor and summoning Oswald Anders.
What comes next
Once Marianne Reed is placed and you speak with her, she offers the follow-up quest Vukah Rituals Uncovered, which points you back toward Fort Kelvin:
“The Vukah hold inhumane rituals at Fort Kelvin. Marianne Reed reported that the Vukah regularly push the townsfolk off the cliff, and she wants to learn more. Investigate the sacrificial pit!”
