by AllThingsHow Staff
Gabrielle Fairburn is a survivor you recruit in Enshrouded by saving her soul during the quest Pit Fights, set in the Nomad Highlands. She was a fighter killed in an unfair match in the arena at Surat’s Rest, and her body was thrown down the cliff below it. Recover the soul, bring it home, and she joins the roster of villagers at your base.
Quick answer: At Surat’s Rest in the Nomad Highlands, read the note “A Fearless Woman”; descend beneath the arena to retrieve Gabrielle Fairburn’s soul, then use the Summoning Staff to place her at your base.
Start Pit Fights by reading A Fearless Woman
Pit Fights begins the moment you read a note called “A Fearless Woman” at Surat’s Rest, in the Nomad Highlands. Reading it starts the quest objective to find her body and save her soul.
The quest objective, “Find The Fearless Woman”, reads: “You’ve found a note that mentions the appearance of a fearless fighter in the arena of Surat’s Rest. She was killed in an unfair fight and her body was dropped down the cliff. Find her body and save her soul!”
Make your way to the arena at Surat’s Rest. The marked spot sits at the edge, where a “Location below” prompt tells you her remains are down the cliff rather than on the arena floor.

Move onto the marked area and use the Collect Soul prompt. The screen reads “Soul Discovered! Gabrielle Fairburn”, which confirms you’ve recovered her and completed the objective.
Summon Gabrielle Fairburn at your base
Recovering the soul does not place her anywhere on its own. You need to bring her out at a base using the Summoning Staff.
