Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 Campaign Missions and Rewards (Complete List)

All 16 story missions in order, the reward each one unlocks, and when those rewards reach Multiplayer and DMZ.

All 16 story missions in order, the reward each one unlocks, and when those rewards reach Multiplayer and DMZ.

The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 campaign is single-player only and runs from Mayhem to Greater Good. It follows two threads. Private Park is a young South Korean soldier caught in North Korea’s full-scale invasion. Captain Price works outside official channels and hunts a weapon that could shift the balance of power. Each of the 16 missions unlocks one cosmetic or progression reward when you finish it, so a full run earns 16 items.

Quick answer: The campaign has 16 missions, and clearing them all grants 16 rewards: eight Base Operators; three Double XP Tokens; two Double Weapon XP Tokens; one Calling Card; one Loading Screen; and one Emblem.

Modern Warfare 4 campaign mission order and rewards

The story moves between the Korean Peninsula, New York, Paris, and Mumbai. Missions without a fixed setting in the table show a dash. Each reward unlocks when you complete the mission next to it.

Campaign rewards by type

Half of the rewards are Operators. The rest are XP boosts and three one-off cosmetics. Grouped by category, a full campaign clear gives you the following items.

Reward typeCountEarned from
Base Operators8Cho, Dallas, Luca, Oh-Ji, Kal, Dunn, West, Park
Double XP Token3Missions 3, 9, 15
Double Weapon XP Token2Missions 11, 13
Calling Card1No More Rules (mission 2)
Loading Screen1Ready Line (mission 5)
Emblem1Gone Dark (mission 7)

The Operators come in the order the story introduces them. Private Park, the campaign’s lead, is the last one, and he unlocks only after Greater Good. No duration has been confirmed for any of the XP Tokens, so don’t plan a grind session around a specific timer yet.

These mission rewards are separate from the campaign’s achievements. Completing an achievement does not grant an extra Operator or blueprint.

When campaign rewards work in Multiplayer and DMZ

Campaign Early Access began October 16 for players who pre-ordered or pre-purchased the Standard Digital Edition or Vault Edition digitally. It was available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC, Battle.net, Steam, and Nintendo Switch 2. You can claim all 16 rewards during Early Access, but they remain unavailable until the full game releases. Starting October 23, 2026, all 16 can be used in Multiplayer and DMZ.

Once the game launches, check the Operator, Calling Card, Emblem, and Loading Screen menus for the items, and check your token inventory for the XP Tokens.

How long it takes to unlock every campaign reward

You can’t share the work with a friend, since there is no co-op campaign this time. Your clear time mostly depends on the difficulty you pick. There are five settings: Recruit, Regular, Hardened, Veteran, and Realism.

  • A standard story run takes roughly 6 to 9 hours.
  • Skipping cutscenes cuts about an hour.
  • Hardened, Veteran, and Realism take longer because of tougher fights and checkpoint retries.
  • All 18 campaign achievements (1,000 Gamerscore) plus every mission takes about 16 to 18 hours.

If you only want the 16 rewards, Recruit is the fastest route. Each reward is tied to finishing its mission, not to the difficulty you finish it on. Completionists have more to do. The “Was it worth it?” achievement requires beating the whole campaign on Realism, so if you’re aiming for that one, start the run on Realism and stay there.
