Best Enshrouded 1.0 Builds, From Wand Wizard to Stealth Archer

Four builds for the level 50 cap, with exact wand, gem, ring and skill picks for the strongest mage setup.

Four builds for the level 50 cap, with exact wand, gem, ring and skill picks for the strongest mage setup.

Bow

Enshrouded 1.0 raised the character cap to level 50, lets fully upgraded gear reach level 55, and gave mages most of the new combat toys. That includes summons, wand heavy and aerial attacks, and a skill that ties wands and staffs together. There is still no locked class system, so every build below is a template you can respec out of at a Flame Altar. The gear and skill choices do matter, though, and some combinations clearly outperform others in Embervale’s new endgame.

Quick answer: Run a wand-and-staff mage. Use Oracle’s Everblue with the Gem of Armoring, swap between three wands for Blast and Cast crits, and wear the Ring of Thundersnow with Prismatic Ward.

Archmage wand wizard build

Blast and Cast is the core of this wand wizard build. Land a critical hit with your wand, then make a staff attack within 10 seconds to deal 50 percent more base damage. For the usual attack cycle, fire wand shots at enemies until one crits, switch to your staff, and unleash a powerful spell. Armor is flexible, but look for magic critical strike chance, damage resistance, increased damage, and mana regeneration.

Wands and gem pairings

WandElement / rarityPerksGem
Candlelight WandFire / CommonHealth Leech 3%, Crit 7%Gem of Hyperspecialization
Androme’s WandIce / CommonMana Leech 3%, Crit 7%Gem of Currents
Electric InitialiserLightning / LegendaryMana Leech 3%, Crit 9%Gem of Currents

All three wands share the same base profile. Each has Multishot 1, Overcharge 30%, a 0.6-second attack speed, and Mana Regeneration 16. Damage scales from 7 at item level 1 to 61 at level 55. Their elements and perks are what set them apart, which is why the build carries all three. You get Fire, Ice and Lightning coverage, life sustain from the Candlelight Wand, and mana sustain from the other two. The Electric Initialiser’s 9 percent crit chance is the highest of the three, so it is the most reliable way to trigger Blast and Cast.

The Electric Initialiser is found in the Nomad Highlands, and you can also craft it at the Alchemist. The recipe is learned when you pick up Darya’s Remorse. Crafting it requires Flame level 9 or higher and a station under a roof. A Rare level 46 variant also exists, but the Legendary version scales across item levels 1 to 55.

How the three gems work

  • Gem of Hyperspecialization (Legendary, Cinder’s Cradle): Any kill within 3 seconds of using the weapon’s Special Ability refunds 10 Focus.
  • Gem of Currents (Rare, Veilwater Basin): While you are Wet or Soaked, your hits Soak enemies for 6 seconds. Hits on Soaked enemies have a 33% chance to add 8 Shock damage.
  • Gem of Armoring (Legendary, Cinder’s Cradle): Defeated enemies leave an orb behind. Pick one up to gain resistance to all damage for 1 second.

The Gem of Currents does nothing unless you are wet, so carry water balloons to Soak yourself before a fight. There is a catch. The Wet status cuts Stamina and Stamina Regeneration by 30 percent for 15 minutes.

Oracle’s Everblue carries the Gem of Armoring. Its Mana Leech keeps your pool topped up during long fights, and the gem’s orbs give you brief immunity windows when crowds close in.

Prismatic Ward also rolls Unity, Wand Mastery, Eternal Spark, Arcane Deflection and Shroud Resistance at rank 1, plus Parry Power 1. You can craft it at the Alchemist at Flame level 8 or higher, under a roof.

Ring of Thundersnow adds Wizard, Thunder and Bloodletting at rank 1 and Shock Resistance 5%. It fits a lightning-heavy rotation. It also has a 120-second Wet Duration Reduction, which shortens the stamina penalty you take from Soaking yourself for the Gem of Currents. For the second ring, any piece with Health Leech will do. The Gemini Ring from the Springlands is one option. It has Health Leech 3, Health 20, 5% damage against Fell, and Fatal Precision and Backstab Mastery perks, both of which appear in this build’s skill list.

Wand wizard skills

  • Blast and Cast
  • Righteous Fire
  • Water Aura
  • Radiant Aura
  • Fatal Precision
  • Arcane Deflection
  • Backstab Mastery

Summoner Mage build

The Summoner Mage uses the same wand-and-staff loop, but it adds allies who soak up enemy attention. Version 1.0 introduced Summon Hollow Skeleton along with Fire, Ice and Shock Totems. Advanced Necromancy and Totem Mastery increase how many summons you can keep on the field at once. Put points into Intelligence for magic damage and Spirit for Mana.

  • Core skills: Blast and Cast, Advanced Necromancy, Totem Mastery
  • Control: Entangle, to pin enemies that rush you
  • Spells: Summon Hollow Skeleton plus the totem that fits the enemy

Open each fight by placing skeletons and totems. Cast Entangle when a group pushes toward you, then fire wand shots until a crit triggers Blast and Cast, and cash it in on a staff spell. The summons buy you time but do not make you safe, so keep moving. If your Mana runs dry early, lean on the wand more or add Spirit instead of opening with your most expensive spell.

Dagger/Bow Skirmisher build

Dexterity scales both bows and daggers, so this build gets ranged and melee damage from a single attribute. Add Endurance whenever stamina starts limiting your dodges or how long you can stay in melee.

The Backpack menu shows a Wooden Arrow stack of 35 selected, with its Damage of 7 and Piercing 7.
  • Ranger branch: Marksman, Ranger, Sniper, Puncture, with Barrage for bow durability
  • Assassin branch: Backstab Mastery, Silent Stride
  • Shroud utility: Survival Instinct, which extends Shroud time on qualifying bow or dagger kills

Start fights with the bow, circle behind the target, and switch to daggers so Backstab Mastery applies. Some enemies turn quickly. Against those, keep shooting until they commit to an attack, then reposition while they recover. The build struggles when you are surrounded, so always keep enough stamina in reserve to disengage.

Stealth Archer build

The Stealth Archer goes all in on the bow and sneak attacks. Wear the full five-piece Quetzal Hunter set, ideally with substats such as Piercing Armor, Stamina, Vitality Surge and Ranger. Pair it with the Temple Keepers’ Bow, which raises critical strike chance and backstab damage. For rings, the Ultimate Ring of Health and Stamina boosts both of those pools.

The Backpack tab shows the Wooden Arrow, a level 3 common Bow Ammo item with Damage 7 and Piercing 7, with 35 in the stack.
  • Bow Specialization, Multi Shot, Bee Sting
  • Shrapnel Blast, Echoing Explosives
  • Sneak Attack, Veiled Vigor, Strategic Maneuver
  • Necromancy, only if you also carry a magic weapon

Switching Enshrouded builds at a Flame Altar

At any Flame Altar, spend Runes to refund your skill points, then put them toward a new build. If you played in Early Access, check your skill tree as soon as you return—the 1.0 rework changed it. Start by focusing on one damage attribute. If single mistakes keep killing you, add Constitution; choose Endurance for stamina-heavy melee, or Spirit if your mage frequently runs out of Mana.
