Superhero Arena is a free-for-all Roblox brawler from The Duelists. You pick a hero or villain from the lobby and drop onto an aircraft carrier deck where everyone else is trying to knock you into the ocean. Every new player starts as Iron Man. The rest of the 25-character roster opens up as you collect Power Coins, with a few exceptions that cost Robux or require a community membership.
Quick answer: Superhero Arena has 25 characters. Iron Man is free, 21 unlock automatically at Power Coin thresholds or through Robux, Raven requires joining The Duelists community, and three are Robux-only.

Superhero Arena character list and unlock requirements
The roster below runs in unlock order, from the free starter up to the most expensive Robux purchase. Power Coin unlocks happen on their own. Once your coin total reaches a character’s threshold, that character becomes available in the lobby without any extra purchase step.
| Character | Power Coins | Robux | Other requirement |
|---|---|---|---|
| Iron Man | Free | — | Starter character |
| Hulk | 5 | — | — |
| Aquaman | 15 | — | — |
| Spider-Man | 25 | — | — |
| Frozone | 40 | — | — |
| Captain America | 65 | — | — |
| Flash | 95 | — | — |
| Storm | 125 | — | — |
| Magneto | 140 | — | — |
| Ghost Rider | 160 | — | — |
| Thor | 220 | — | — |
| Doctor Strange | 280 | — | — |
| Raven | — | — | Join The Duelists community |
| Groot | 400 | — | — |
| Wolverine | 530 | — | — |
| Superman | 670 | — | — |
| Red Hulk | 890 | — | — |
| Billy Butcher | 1,110 | — | — |
| War Machine | 1,510 | — | — |
| Deadpool | 1,860 | 4 | Either currency |
| Batman | 2,100 | 60 | Either currency |
| Thanos | 2,500 | 120 | Either currency |
| Loki | — | 199 | Robux only |
| Venom | — | 319 | Robux only |
| Galactic Thanos | — | 480 | Robux only |
Deadpool, Batman, and Thanos sit at the top of the free progression path, and each can also be bought outright with Robux if you’d rather skip the grind. Deadpool’s 4 Robux price is low enough that most players who want him early will just pay it.
Some lobby pedestals have carried different labels than the coin thresholds above. Wolverine has appeared with “Join Group to Unlock!” and Superman with “VIP EXCLUSIVE,” so check the pedestal text in your own lobby before you plan around a coin total.

Add to Google Preferences →Characters you can’t unlock with Power Coins
Four characters sit entirely outside the coin system. No amount of eliminations will open them up.
- Raven: become a member of The Duelists Roblox community. Her pedestal reads “Join Group to Unlock!”
- Loki: 199 Robux
- Venom: 319 Robux
- Galactic Thanos: 480 Robux
Galactic Thanos is a separate character from the standard Thanos. Unlocking regular Thanos with 2,500 Power Coins does not grant the Galactic version.
How Power Coins are earned in Superhero Arena
Power Coins only come from fighting. Every elimination pays 10 Power Coins, and the game shows it as a pop-up reading “ELIMINATED: [player name] +10 COINS.” An elimination counts whether you land the final blow that drops a rival’s health to 0 or knock them off the carrier into the sea, which kills them instantly.
You don’t need the kill to get paid. Landing hits on opponents, whether with basic punches or abilities, also adds coins to your total. That means staying in fights pays off even when someone else steals the elimination.
The lobby also has a “50 COINS FREE” button alongside the Play, Inventory, Settings, and Store options. Since every match is free-for-all, you’re a target too. Pressing Q triggers Dash, a quick lunge on an 8-second cooldown that’s useful for escaping a bad fight or dodging your way back from the edge of the deck.

How to confirm and equip a new character
Unlocks fire mid-match. When you cross a threshold, a banner appears on screen, such as “You have unlocked Deadpool!” or “You have unlocked Batman!”, even if you’re in the middle of a jump. Back in the lobby, that character’s pedestal now shows “Owned.”

You can only bring one character into a match at a time, so swapping requires a trip back to the lobby. Each character has its own ability set on the E and R keys. Storm, for example, pairs Tornado and Bad Weather, both on 22-second cooldowns. It’s worth taking each new unlock into a fight to see whether its abilities hit hardest up close or at range, and whether its area attacks can catch several players bunched together on the deck.
