Cart Path is a brief Wandering Tale in the Licheng Terrace Part 1 set, located in the Qingzhou region of Where Winds Meet. Student Qiao Run calls out for a top driver to compete in the Apex Chariot Contest. To help, register at the desk, visit his teacher, who is confined to a wheelchair, and advance the in-game clock twice. There is no combat, and the tale takes about five minutes.
Quick answer: Talk to Qiao Run, register with Ma Nianyi, hand Qiao Run the clues, then meet Jing Ziqi in the Inkbound Order courtyard at Wei hour and again at Mao hour the next morning.
Cart Path location and rewards
The tale is listed under Licheng Terrace Part 1 in the Exploration menu’s Wandering Tales tab. Its marker sits at Licheng Terrace in Qingzhou Eastern Peak. Teleport to the Licheng Terrace waypoint and you’ll spawn on the road close to the quest giver.
On the road beyond Licheng Terrace, speak with Qiao Run next to a wooden cart. When he asks if you’ll assist with the race, select “Sure”.

Pick up the two documents on the counter, the “Apex Chariot Contest Flyer” and “Twenty Rules for Safe Driving.” Each one triggers a “New Clue Acquired” notice.
Go back to Qiao Run and submit the items when the prompt appears. Keep talking until he runs out of things to say about Master Jing Ziqi’s old injury and her history as a chariot driver, because that conversation sends you to her next.

Some players are given a Special Race Token by Ma Nianyi at sign-up instead of holding just the two documents. In that case, Qiao Run takes the token. Either way, the submit prompt only needs what you collected at the booth.
Meet Master Jing Ziqi at Wei hour and Mao hour
The rest of the tale happens in the Inkbound Order courtyard, uphill through the village from the booth. Both remaining scenes only start at specific hours, so you’ll need the in-game clock.
Follow the minimap uphill and enter the training courtyard through its front entrance. Master Jing Ziqi is seated in a wheelchair there, with Xu Yao nearby.
Talk to Jing Ziqi once the disciples have gathered. She lectures them on safety rules, Qiao Run tries to lift her wheelchair, and she scolds the group.
Talk to Jing Ziqi again. Qiao Run and Xu Yao reveal that her legendary injury was just a twisted ankle, and she punishes Qiao Run with 100 laps, which ends the tale.
How to confirm Cart Path is complete
When Qiao Run accepts his laps, a “Wandering Tales Cart Path Ending Unlocked” banner appears, followed by “Obtained” notices for the Echo Jade, Qingzhou Exploration points, coins, and Stored EXP. Your Sentient Beings menu also gains two entries during the tale, “Taking Root” and “Origins of the Chariot Races.” If you see the ending banner, Cart Path is finished, and the next Licheng Terrace tale is available.
