Halloween Candy is the currency that runs The Veil’s Veil-o-Ween event. You spend it to light three event statues and again to queue for the Haunted Keep. Candy only comes from fighting, and it does not drop on every kill, so the fastest approach is to stay in combat with monsters you can kill quickly and keep going until you have enough for both costs.
Quick answer: Kill event monsters you can beat consistently until your Candy counter reaches 175. That covers three statues at 25 Candy each and the 100 Candy Haunted Keep entry fee.
Halloween Candy sources in The Veil
Every Candy source in Veil-o-Ween involves combat. The sources differ mostly in how often you can count on them.
| Source | Payout | Reliability |
|---|---|---|
| Pumpkin-headed event monsters | Small, per kill | Chance-based drop |
| Special pumpkin encounter | Large batch at once | Rare, unpredictable |
| Haunted Keep waves | Extra Candy mid-run | Only after entry |
Pumpkin-headed monsters drop Candy as glowing orange pickups. It goes straight to your on-screen Candy counter, so you will not find it in your bag. Some kills give nothing, which is normal. One player reached 99 Candy and still had to keep fighting for the final piece.

The special pumpkin encounter has a health bar like a boss, but it is a one-off event and not a normal boss fight. Some early pumpkins appeared to be spawned by developers for previews and not as regular wild encounters. If you see one, kill it, but do not plan your farming around finding another.

Candy drops are random, so your speed depends on how many kills you can get per minute. Strong elites slow you down. Monsters you can kill quickly and safely are the better target.

Halloween Candy costs for statues and the Haunted Keep
Both costs come out of the same Candy total. Players who spend everything on the statues often reach the Haunted Keep with too little left and have to go back out and farm again.
| Purchase | Candy cost | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Each event statue (×3) | 25 | Lights the statue |
| Haunted Keep entry | 100 | Queues the wave trial |
| First-run total | 175 | Statues plus one Keep entry |
| Dullahan token | 20,000 | Offered in Witch dialogue |
Event Candy also buys seasonal vendor items. The statue and entry costs above were recorded early in the event, and a patch could change them. If the numbers do not match, trust the prompt the NPC shows you in-game.
Spending Candy on the three Veil-o-Ween statues

Queueing the Haunted Keep with 100 Haunted Candy
After the hand-in, the Witch offers the Haunted Keep queue. Joining costs 100 Haunted Candy. The queue fits one to six players, and you can start it solo. The trial runs 15 waves, with bosses on waves 5, 10, and 15. A full run takes a while, so get ready before you pay.
- Have at least 100 Candy left after paying for the statues.
- Bring healing potions. The later waves and the Haunted Tree on wave 10 hit hard.
- Bring stamina potions. Constant dodging in long solo runs drains your stamina.
- Free up inventory space for boss drops and the reward chest at the end.
You will know it worked when the NPC accepts the fee and puts you into the trial queue. Monsters inside the Keep keep dropping Candy, so a run also adds some Candy back toward your next entry.
Veil-o-Ween runs until November 7, 2026, at 19:00 UTC. You can only earn and spend Candy until then, so plan your farming sessions around that deadline.
