Candy sources, four event garages, three limited mutators, the Pumpkin Wagon, and the base-game changes that came with them.

Storage Hunters, the open-world auction game on Roblox where you bid on lockers and haul the loot back to your shop, has a limited Halloween event. It adds a new currency, Candy, along with a Halloween town full of NPCs and several ways to earn it. Candy pays for entry into four themed auction garages, and those garages are the only place to find three new limited mutators. There is also a temporary vehicle, two event drinks, and a handful of permanent changes to shop upgrades, settings, and the map.

Quick answer: You earn Candy from trick-or-treating, grave digging, zombies, and Headless Horseman quests. You spend it on Halloween Garages 1–4, which cost 10 to 40 Candy to enter and hold the event-only mutators.

The event is live in the Roblox listing for Storage Hunters: Open World, and the event entry on that page runs until October 31.

Where Halloween Candy comes from

Almost everything in the event runs on Candy, and the game spreads its sources across the whole map instead of tying them to one activity. Some are open whenever you want, and others depend on in-game time or a timer.

Trick-or-treating at night

The Witch stands at the entrance to the Halloween town and hands out the trick-or-treat bag. Her dialogue also has an option for a better bag, so the bag itself can be upgraded. Once night falls in-game, between 7 PM and 6 AM, houses around the map with their outdoor lights switched on can be knocked on. A door can give you Candy, a standard luck drink, or one of the exclusive event drinks.

Not every door is friendly. Getting tricked applies a 5 percent luck penalty that lasts about 10 minutes, which matters if you plan to head into an auction right afterward.

Grave digging with the shovel

The Grave Digger, a skeleton waiting by the pumpkins and the graveyard, sells a shovel for 100 Candy. That makes digging the one Candy source with an upfront cost. Graves are scattered around the map, and each one can turn up Candy, drinks, or prizes. Some only trigger a zombie hand popping out of the ground. If you lose the shovel, the Grave Digger has a dialogue option to replace it.

Zombies and Defend the Town

Zombies now wander the roads. You can shoot them, load their bodies onto your vehicle, and drive them to the Grave Digger, who pays 10 Candy for each one. It is a neat fit for a game that is already about hauling cargo from one place to another.

The same NPC runs Defend the Town, a co-op mode that you can play with friends. It becomes available once every hour and throws five waves of zombies at the town, with Candy paid out per wave. His dialogue menu splits the two jobs clearly, with separate options for turning in zombies and starting the defense, plus explanations of how each one works.

Headless Horseman quests

The Headless Horseman waits outside the church in the Halloween town and carries 30 event quests. They pay out Candy, Diamonds, and other prizes. Like other quest givers, he is marked with a red exclamation point.

Halloween Garages and entry costs

Candy is spent on four new auction garages that stock exclusive Halloween items. Entry cost goes up by 10 Candy with each garage.

GarageEntry cost
Halloween Garage 110 Candy
Halloween Garage 220 Candy
Halloween Garage 330 Candy
Halloween Garage 440 Candy

These garages work differently from the ones in earlier updates. Your tier progression does not lock you out. If you can pay the Candy fee, you can enter, so newer players can reach the top Halloween garage without grinding through the regular tiers first.

Spiderwebbed, Cobwebbed, and Spirited mutators

Three limited mutators can only be found inside the Halloween garages. They sit at different rarity levels.

  • Spiderwebbed is the common one.
  • Cobwebbed sits in the middle of the range.
  • Spirited is extremely rare.

Halloween items also have their own index to complete, which gives collectors a separate checklist next to the mutators.

Pumpkin Wagon and the Halloween drinks

The Pumpkin Wagon is a limited vehicle sold in the featured section of the Auto Dealership. The Update Log lists it as available for one week, until 24 October. Unlike the garages, it costs cash, not Candy.

Pumpkin Wagon statValue
Unlock price$115,000
Sell price$34,500
Speed75
Acceleration1.25
Handling80
Weight800 kg

The listed unlock price undersells it a little. The total cash requirement to get the wagon comes out closer to $230,000. It also sells back for well under a third of its unlock price, so it is a collector’s buy more than a flip.

Two limited drinks round out the event rewards. One gives +50 percent luck and the other doubles Candy earnings. Both turn up from trick-or-treating and grave digging, which makes those two activities worth doing even after you have enough Candy for the garages.

Permanent changes in the Halloween update

Several changes are not tied to Halloween and will outlast the event. The maximum floor upgrade for your shop goes up to five floors, and the General Store’s Shop Upgrades menu prices the next steps in Diamonds.

Shop upgradeCostEffect shown
Storage Box Space225 Diamonds10 → 11 boxes
Plot Capacity250 Diamonds1150 → 1250 items
Floor Limit250 Diamonds2 → 3 floors (max 5)

Five new achievements cover mutators and index completion. Finishing an index, such as Junk Yard, Farmyard, or Lost Index, pays 100 Diamonds each. Time Capsule collectors also get four new titles, found in the Titles menu under Settings.

TitleTime Capsule requirement
Cobwebbed Master250 Cobwebbed items
Antique Master100 Antique items
Ancient Master25 Ancient items
Timeless Master10 Timeless items

The rest are smaller fixes and tweaks.

  • Car part boxes spawn 10 percent more often, including in areas like the Back Alley.
  • A Hide Autumn Leaves toggle sits in Graphics settings, next to options like Reduce Rain Effects and Hide Other Shops.
  • The world map was overhauled to show all of the new areas correctly.
  • The update also brings general performance improvements.

The overall loop is easy to read. Night-time trick-or-treating, graves, zombies, and quests all feed Candy into four garages that skip the usual tier gate. The Pumpkin Wagon and the three mutators are the time-limited pieces. The floor cap, the new titles, and the map overhaul stay in the game after the event ends.
