Echo is a ghost dog with long blue ears, a blue tongue, and no memory of who his owner was. He lives in Steal an Egg’s Halloween Dimension, also called the Corrupted Realm. Echo’s Memories, his quest, asks you to recover four small objects scattered around that map. Each one is easy to run past, but each sits next to a landmark you can steer by. Returning all four starts a short chain that ends with a permanent Haunted Rod and a Phantom Express Ticket.
Quick answer: Talk to Echo, pick up all four items in any order, and go back to him when the tracker reads 4/4. Then follow him to the Ghost Fisherman.

Echo’s Memories requirements and where Echo waits
None of the quest objects exist on the normal island. You can only collect them inside the Halloween Dimension, so you need to get through the portal first.
- The portal sits near spawn, beside the Trails Shop on the regular map.
- Entry requires your main pet to have 2.5 million Speed or more.
- Ghosts and monsters roam the dimension, pursuing you even while Echo is speaking.
Clicking that banner opens the Echo’s Memories menu. It shows all four item slots, a riddle for each one, and how many you’ve collected so far. The riddles point at the same landmarks used below, such as “I used to watch the trains at the old station…” for the collar.
Since nearby enemies don’t pause while Echo talks, start the conversation when the area around his house is clear.

Collect the items in whatever order you like. Each pickup updates the tracker immediately, and PC players can press E to collect one. All four are small objects lying on the ground, so scan the floor instead of the buildings.
| Lost item | Area | Landmark |
|---|---|---|
| Mr. Squeaky (Favorite Toy) | Near Echo’s house | Pumpkin house and Halloween Altar |
| Chewed Bone | Haunted Swamp | Riverbank rocks in front of Phantom Express |
| Old Collar | Phantom Express station | Large tree across the tracks |
| Old Photograph | Abandoned Manor | Behind pumpkins and rocks left of the gate |
The pickup prompt labels the rabbit “Favorite Toy,” Echo calls it Mr. Squeaky, and some players refer to it as the plushie. Each name refers to the same item.

Mr. Squeaky: by the big pumpkin altar
Of the items, this one is closest to Echo. From where he stands, look forward toward the pumpkin-shaped house beside the large Halloween Altar. Starting at spawn, continue straight to the Haunted Swamp, then take a left at the first wooden lamppost to get to the altar. On the ground in front of the house is a small white stuffed rabbit. Pick it up; it is neither a pet nor something sold in a shop. Echo responds, “Mr. Squeaky! I missed you!” when you collect it.

Chewed Bone: Haunted Swamp riverbank
Head to the Phantom Express station on the right edge of the map. Stand in front of the ladder on its right side and face the Haunted Swamp. Several rock formations line the riverbank in front of the station. The bone sits on the grass next to the second rock from the station, in front of two small pumpkins. Its pale color blends into the stone, which makes it the item players miss most often, so walk rather than sprint. The riddle for it reads “I buried something in the swampy marsh… probably!”

Old Collar: across the Phantom Express tracks
Begin at spawn and follow the straight route to the Haunted Swamp; at wooden lamppost number three, turn right and continue until the Phantom Express station appears. Use the ladder on the platform’s left to climb up, then go across the railway tracks. On the opposite side, the collar is easy to spot at the foot of a large tree. It does not sit aboard the train, meaning you can collect it without waiting for the Phantom Express to arrive.

Old Photograph: Abandoned Manor gate
Take the main road from spawn all the way to the Abandoned Manor gate at the map’s far end. With the gate in front of you, check left: two large pumpkins sit beside a rock pile, close to the glowing crystals mentioned in the clue, “Those glowing crystals by the manor gate… something shiny was there.” Tucked in the slim space behind the pumpkins, between the rocks and fence, is the photograph. The front view hides it, so circle around back on foot or jump there. When you collect it, Echo says, “That’s me… and someone with a fishing rod?”

At 3/4, search both locations around the train. The bone is beside the swamp rocks, while the collar lies beyond the tracks; finding one can make it seem as though you’ve checked both.
How to get the Haunted Rod from Echo’s owner
Once the tracker reads 4/4, the objective changes to “Bring them to Echo!” A red arrow and path line guide you back to his house.
The Haunted Rod is yours to keep, and it also works for fishing up Candy Corn.
Stay in the game and don’t teleport away while Echo is guiding you. Either action can interrupt the sequence, leaving you to enter the dimension again.

How to get the Phantom Express Ticket
Turning in all four items is not enough to earn the ticket; you get it by completing a fishing challenge at the pier.

The fish turns on you afterward, but the Ghost Fisherman hooks you with his own rod and pulls you back onto the pier. If you already have the Haunted Rod but no ticket, redo the fishing challenge. Searching for the items again won’t help.
What the Phantom Express Ticket unlocks
The ticket is permanent and lets you board the Phantom Express whenever it shows up at the station. The train arrives about every 30 minutes, and a “Boarding Closes In” timer counts down while it waits. Choose “Board Train” and you’ll see “Ticket punched! All aboard!” as confirmation. The ride drops you in a ghost-catching arena tied to the Spectral Mutation. There, a vacuum tool sucks up spirits like the Ghouler, Lost Spirits, and Haunted Spirits in exchange for Souls. You only need the ticket for your first ride.
