Anime Origins’ Update 3.5, “The Liberation of Toy Kingdom!”, went live on October 18th, 2026. It adds an awakening for the game’s take on Luffy. Luffo (Strawhat), a Mythic unit, can now evolve into Luffo (Bouncy Man), a Secret-rarity unit with a rubber-stretch kit and a screen-wide King Kong Gun ultimate. Getting there is not a single summon. It is a 12-quest questline that runs through a new raid, an artifact pity system, a special key stage, and a side detour to evolve Zolo.
Quick answer: Luffo (Bouncy Man) comes from evolving an owned Luffo (Strawhat) with the Gum Gum Fruit, which is granted after all 12 objectives in the “Bouncy Man” questline are claimed.
Luffo (Bouncy Man) unit stats in Anime Origins
Bouncy Man keeps Luffo’s ground-unit role but moves him up a rarity tier and onto the Nature element. At Level 70, his raw numbers already sit in carry territory before any buffs, crits, or range scaling apply.
| Attribute | Luffo (Bouncy Man) |
|---|---|
| Rarity | Secret |
| Element | Nature |
| Base form | Luffo (Strawhat), Mythic |
| Evolution item | Gum Gum Fruit (Mythic) |
| Damage at Level 70 | ~25.2K |
| SPA | 3.7s |
| Base DPS | ~7,000+ |
| Active ability | King Kong Gun |
The evolution plays a transformation cutscene. After that, the new form levels with Soul Candy and can be ascended right away. A freshly evolved Bouncy Man was taken to Level 70 and through Ascension I before testing in West City Infinite on Hard.

Add to Google Preferences →Bouncy Man passives and the King Kong Gun
Bouncy Man has four passives and one active ultimate. Most of them reward stacking damage buffs and attacking from a distance. Those are both things the Immortal trait helps with.
Rubber Stretch and Rubber Stretch v2
Rubber Stretch gives a flat 10 percent bonus Range. It adds another 5 percent Range for every 10 percent Damage buff the unit carries, capped at 15 percent total. Once the cap is reached, the Overstretched clause turns each further 10 percent Damage buff into 20 percent Crit Damage, up to 60 percent. In practice, buffs are never wasted. They spill over from range into crits.
Rubber Stretch v2 scales damage with distance. Attacks deal up to 30 percent more Damage depending on how far the target position is from Luffo, and the full bonus kicks in at 40 studs. That makes Bouncy Man a unit you want hitting the far edge of his range rather than enemies right at his feet.
Haki
Every fifth strike randomly triggers one of the two Haki types. Armament Haki boosts the damage of the following hit by 20 percent and bypasses 20 percent of the enemy’s Physical Resistance. Observation Haki adds a Foresight stack, up to a maximum of five. Mastery connects the effects: while all five Foresight stacks are held, each Armament Haki attack is a guaranteed critical hit.
Emperor’s Colours
This is Bouncy Man’s crowd control. When an enemy walks into his range, it becomes Overwhelmed if either of two conditions is true. The first is that its current Health is at or below 30 percent of its Max Health. The second is that its Max Health is at or below 70 percent of Luffo’s Damage. Overwhelmed enemies are Stunned for 2 seconds and stay Brittle for 5 seconds. Against weaker waves, his damage alone qualifies most enemies.
King Kong Gun
The active ultimate fires a giant King Kong Gun at a chosen target position. It deals 400 percent of the unit’s Damage to every enemy in an area equal to 125 percent of his Range. It runs on a cooldown, so it works as a burst clear for stacked waves rather than a constant damage source.
What the Bouncy Man questline requires
The “Bouncy Man” questline unlocks once you own Luffo (Strawhat). Its 12 objectives fall into three groups. One is a Toy Kingdom chain that ends in a key-gated stage. Another is a Zolo chain. The last is a set of general account tasks. The Gum Gum Fruit only drops when every milestone in the Questlines tab has been claimed.
| Item | Rarity | Where it comes from |
|---|---|---|
| TOY-1 artifact | — | Toy Kingdom Raid Act 3 (Hard) |
| Toy Liberator’s Key | Secret | Ascendant TOY-1 artifact, 10/10 pity |
| Swordsman’s Bandana | Mythic | Beli Shop, 10,000 Beri |
| Gum Gum Fruit | Mythic | Bouncy Man questline completion |
Toy Kingdom raid, artifacts, and the key
TOY-1 artifacts drop from Toy Kingdom Raid Act 3 on Hard, a fight against Flomango. The boss has heavy shields and resistances. Teams built around crowd control fare better there, such as Low (Surgeon of Death) and Madaro (Edo Tensei). The Toy Kingdom Artifact Act 1 stage is the repeatable loop for artifact drops, evolution materials, Pirate Flag Scraps, and tokens.

Refining a TOY-1 artifact with Umbral Splinters to Ascendant rank displays the Toy Liberator’s Key drop chance alongside a pity meter. The key is guaranteed when the meter reaches 10/10. Its description states that it obtains Luffo (Strawhat)’s Evolution Item.

Open the key in your inventory to access “Toy Kingdom’s Liberation,” a challenge with 15 waves. It uses a preset team instead of your own, featuring Furatoji, Zolo, and Low.

Beating the final boss ends on a Victory screen. It also completes the Toy Kingdom’s Liberator I and II quests in the questline.

Zolo (King of Hell) and the kill quest
One questline objective involves Luffo’s crewmate. Zolo is obtained from the Pirate Piece banner; level him, then evolve him into Zolo (King of Hell) with the Swordsman’s Bandana, available for 10,000 Beri in the Beli Shop. With Zolo equipped, the quest requires 3,000 kills. Story and Infinite stages both count.

Summons and bounties
- Mythical summon quests filled by rolling the Pirate Piece banner
- Reach Supernova rank by clearing 16 Bounty Board bounties
- Every finished objective claimed in the Questlines tab
Claiming the last milestones brings up a rewards popup with 1x Gum Gum Fruit. Luffo (Strawhat) and the fruit then go into the Evolution pod in the lobby. The cutscene plays, and a Secret Luffo (Bouncy Man) appears in your units list. That confirms the evolution worked.

Why the Immortal trait pairs with Bouncy Man
Traits carry through evolution. A Luffo (Strawhat) that already has Immortal becomes an Immortal Bouncy Man. Immortal is the top-ranked trait in Anime Origins, and its numbers explain why.
- +200% Damage, -15% Cooldown, +20% Range, +25% Income
- Placement limit of 1, and only one unit per team can hold it
- Once per match, after Wave 10, it replenishes base power and instantly eliminates nearby enemies other than bosses
- That same trigger knocks back and slows the remaining enemies
For this kit, the range bonus matters as much as the damage bonus. Rubber Stretch v2 pays out more the farther Luffo reaches, and King Kong Gun’s area scales directly with his Range. Overseer and Rupture remain the common alternatives. Overseer adds +20% Damage, +10% Range, and bonus True Damage. Rupture leans on crit stats, which Overstretched and Haki Mastery also feed.
Update 3.5 codes tied to Bouncy Man
Two codes launched with the update. Both feed directly into this grind. They are entered in the Codes menu inside Anime Origins on Roblox.
| Code | Reward |
|---|---|
Update3Half | 60x Trait Reroll |
BouncyMan! | 300x Pirate Token |
The trait rerolls are the more interesting half. They are a shot at landing Immortal on Luffo (Strawhat) before he evolves. Bouncy Man has not yet been placed on a ranked unit list since the update landed. On paper, though, a Level 70 Secret with 7,000-plus base DPS, built-in stuns, and a 400 percent area nuke is the strongest version of Luffo the game has had.
