The Masonry Tools in Enshrouded are in a Research Camp at the Pillars of Creation research site in the Nomad Highlands. Pick them up there, then place them near the Carpenter in your base to finish the Finding Masonry Tools quest.
Finding Masonry Tools is a main quest given by the Carpenter, Cade Hawthorn, with a recommended level of 15. The item itself is a crafting station upgrade for him. Its description reads “A set of tools for a Mason. Enables more advanced crafting options when placed.” Finishing the quest pays out the Masonry Tools and 250 XP.
Where to find the Masonry Tools
In the Nomad Highlands, a region roughly suited to level 16, you’ll find the Pillars of Creation research site. The interactive map identifies the location as Masonry Tools on its unique loot layer.
Use these landmarks to pin down the right camp:
- About 400 m east of the Gate to the Pillars of Creation
- About 70 m from the Inner Sanctum
- About 180 m from the Strange Structure
- An Ancient Obelisk about 50 m from the tools
- A lore note, “I Completely Fumbled It”, about 12 m away
The tool pile sits between the Inner Sanctum and the Strange Structure, so if you can see both, you’re in the right part of the site.
How to complete Finding Masonry Tools
You’ll know it worked when the quest closes out and the stone recipes listed below appear at the Workbench, the Carpenter and the Decoration Workbench.
Once you’ve found the Masonry Tools, the Blacksmith can craft a spare set from 6 Charcoal, 6 Iron Bars and 2 Wood Planks.
