Quick answer: Memory Flowers are glowing blue flowers you collect by pressing E. The first one, left by Inanis next to the first Crimson Forest bell, raises maximum HP by 5%.
Phantom Blade Zero scatters glowing blue flowers across its world. They are easy to miss, but each one holds a memory you can hear, and collecting them makes Soul harder to kill.
What Memory Flowers do
A tutorial card called “Memory Flower” appears when you collect your first one. It says: “Find blue Memory Flowers on the map to reveal echoes of the past. Collect enough to increase your maximum HP!”
After the tutorial card comes a collection card. For the first flower, it carries the small label “Memory Flower” above the title “MEMORY FLOWER LEFT BY INANIS”, followed by the line “(1/1) Complete Memory obtained. HP increased. +5%”. The memory’s lines appear underneath, printed under the speaker’s name, Inanis.
That flower’s item description reads: “Not all memories are meant to be forgotten. Listen to the voice within the flower; it may prove helpful on this journey.”
A higher HP ceiling works alongside healing with medicine and raising your defense with gear to keep Soul alive in longer fights.
How to collect the first Memory Flower
The first flower sits at the start of the Crimson Forest, right by the first Crimson Forest bell, a Crane Bell.
You know it worked when control returns to Soul standing next to the flower, after the card has shown “HP increased. +5%”.
Memory Flower achievement
One of the game’s achievements is tied to the flowers. “Listen to Every Flower” is a Bronze achievement with the requirement “Collect 10 Memory Flowers”.
