Quick answer: Crimson Resolve is a pickup in Pangzhen near the South Gate Bridge bell. Landing more than 2 hits within 1 second raises your damage by 15% for 2 seconds.

Where to find Crimson Resolve

You can get Crimson Resolve as a world pickup or reward around the South Gate Bridge bell in Pangzhen. The Pangzhen interactive map shows its pin; select it to view the item’s details.

Bells work as fast travel and respawn points, so rest at the South Gate Bridge bell before you head for the accessory. If you die on the way, you come back close by instead of somewhere farther out.

Crimson Resolve item card: Effect and description

The item card lists Crimson Resolve as type “Offensive”, with this effect:

“Landing more than 2 consecutive hits within 1 second increases damage dealt to enemies by 15% for 2 seconds. 5-second cooldown.”

The description tells a short story about Lan Shaodi:

“Some surely thought him a fool. To trade for food, water, and the lives of a group of children, he gave up his fortune, made countless enemies, and even pawned his family’s jade thumb ring to someone of the Wulin. Yet Lan Shaodi felt nothing but a clear conscience and quiet satisfaction.”

How to polish Crimson Resolve

Polishing raises the numbers on Crimson Resolve and leaves the way it works unchanged. Each level costs Remnant Dust plus one crystal.

Polish 1

The first polish costs 14,400 Remnant Dust and a Tainted Crystal Shard. Quick Hand Zhang sells the shard for 7,440 Remnant Dust, and you can also find one in the world, as covered in how to get a Tainted Crystal Shard. The effect becomes:

“Landing more than 2 consecutive hits within 1 second increases damage dealt to enemies by 25% for 2 seconds. 4-second cooldown.”

Polish 2

The second polish costs 21,600 Remnant Dust and a Refined Indigo Crystal. Quick Hand Zhang offers it for 9,920 Remnant Dust at his hideouts in Village of Lu, Pangzhen, Meigu Lake and Mirage Estate. A Refined Indigo Crystal can also be found in Mirrorwood Depths in the Crimson Forest. Its effect becomes:

“Landing more than 2 consecutive hits within 1 second increases damage dealt to enemies by 35% for 2 seconds. 4-second cooldown.”

What Crimson Resolve is good for

Crimson Resolve pays off when you land quick strings of hits. More than 2 hits inside 1 second gives you 15% more damage for 2 seconds on a 5-second cooldown. That rises to 25% with a 4-second cooldown after the first polish, and to 35% after the second. If you want more ways to stack damage, the guide on how to increase damage lists other boosts, and the Sha-Chi combos page covers attack strings.

You have three accessory slots open from the start, so Crimson Resolve can go in right away alongside two others. The full accessories list shows every accessory with its effect and location.
