At Lv 1, the item card lists a single effect: “Restores all HP.” The description reads:
“Originally a medicinal drink transported by merchants, it was stolen by bandits along the way. The bandits treasured it as a rare curiosity, but knowing nothing of its ingenious mechanism, they went to their graves without ever tasting a single drop.”

Longevity Tonic upgrades
Longevity Tonic upgrades from Lv 1 to Lv 7. Every level keeps the full HP restore, and the higher levels add a damage bonus, a longer bonus window, and extra uses.

| Lv 2 | “Restores all HP. For 10 seconds after use, increases damage dealt by 10% while HP remains full.” | 1 | 3,600 Remnant Dust |

Healer’s Memory materials are needed to upgrade medicine: use Apprentice through Lv. 2, Skilled for Lv. 2-4, and Master from Lv. 4 to the maximum level. You can buy them from Quick Hand Zhang.
What Longevity Tonic is good for
Longevity Tonic refills your entire HP bar, but you get very few uses out of it. It has one use at Lv 2 and Lv 3, and only three at Lv 7.
From Lv 2 it doubles as an offensive tool. After you drink it, damage goes up by 10% for 10 seconds as long as your HP stays full. That rises to 20% at Lv 5, and the window stretches to 20 seconds at Lv 6. For other ways to stack damage, check the list of damage boosts in Phantom Blade Zero.
How to use Longevity Tonic
Each medicine slot holds one remedy, so you can carry two at a time. On PC, the default key for Lower Medicine is R, and T activates Upper Medicine.
