Boy’s Cap | Meigu Lake | “The illusionist who brought him to the ruins said that disciples wore masks, but not hats. Only then could they completely cast aside their former selves and truly possess the identity and qualifications to pursue the Great Way.” |
Boy’s Shirt | Meigu Lake | “The illusionist who brought him to the ruins said he should wear the same robes as the others. He was no longer an individual, but rather a member of the settlement, a part of its “faith.”” |
Boy’s Shoes | Meigu Lake | “The illusionist who brought him to the ruins said that disciples who made mistakes had to walk barefoot through the snow. The cold and the whiteness would wash away their karmic burden, and the walk itself was the High Elder’s test of a disciple’s faith.” |
Boy’s Trousers | Meigu Lake | “The illusionist who brought him to the ruins said that all removed clothing had to be folded with absolute precision. Everything had its rules; all transgressors were mistakes to be erased.” |
Boy’s Worn Outfit item card
The item card reads:
The illusionist who brought him to the ruins told him that only by casting off everything he had been, and paying the price, could he study the Great Way. He kept these clothes anyway, pleading the cold of the settlement.
Back then, he naively thought that he had come only to glimpse the wonders of the Phantom Arts. If he found it boring, if he proved unsuited to cultivation, or even if he did learn a few skills of his own, surely he would still return to his homeland and his parents in the end.
Its effect line reads: “Used to Soul Temper the Whiteshadow.”
