The item card reads:
A strand of unbleached hemp, adorned with a single jade bead, swaying gently in the breeze.
The one who braided this tassel could not bear to bury it in the earth, hoping only that one day, familiar footsteps would sound before the grave, and someone would stoop to pick it up, laughing as they said they were late to return.
Its effect line reads: “Used to Soul Temper Ink Cut.”

What Plain Sword Tassel does
Plain Sword Tassel has one job. It Soul Tempers the Ink Cut and nothing else. To spend it, bring both of these to Myst in the Order’s underground tavern in Pangzhen:
- Plain Sword Tassel
- 5,000 Remnant Dust
The full process at Myst’s station is laid out in how to Soul Temper. Tempering the Ink Cut with this material unlocks Twin Radiant Wheels, and the game describes its effect this way:
While a Radiant Wheel is active, press Phantom Edges again to cast another. The additional Radiant Wheel cannot trigger Twin Radiant Wheels again.
If both Final Radiance and Twin Radiant Wheels are unlocked, Twin Radiant Wheels takes priority.
Once Twin Radiant Wheels is active on the Ink Cut, pressing Phantom Edges a second time while a Radiant Wheel is out casts another one.
