Steal Eggs From Tsunami Start Guide: First Trail to Desert Eggs

Early purchases, zone speed targets, egg runs, hatching, and pet income for the first stretch of the Roblox game.

Early purchases, zone speed targets, egg runs, hatching, and pet income for the first stretch of the Roblox game.

Steal Eggs From Tsunami runs on one loop. You run out past the Safe Zone, grab an egg from a nest, and get back before a tsunami wall catches you. You then hatch the egg in your pen and let the pet pay for more speed. Early on, speed decides almost everything. It sets how far out you can go, which eggs you can reach, and how quickly your cash grows.

Quick answer: Claim the free x1.5 boost, buy the Green Trail for $5K, and train on the treadmill. Upgrade it to Level 2 for $15K, then steal Lake and Desert eggs and hatch them in your pen.

Steal Eggs from Tsunami – Start Guide

Free speed and cash at the start of a session

A pop-up headed “DONT LEAVE!” can appear when you join. It offers a free x1.5 Speed Boost for 10 minutes. Press Claim Reward. The multiplier applies to everything you do in that window, so try to spend those 10 minutes on the treadmill or on egg runs rather than walking around the base.

Next, open the Pet Index. It tracks every pet you have hatched, out of 103 in total, and each new entry has a reward you can claim. The Pigeon, for example, pays out $960 and +500 Speed when you press CLAIM. Check the index after every hatch, because unclaimed rewards just sit there until you collect them.

Steal Eggs From Tsunami upgrade costs for the early game

Your early cash goes to three places. Trails multiply your speed. The treadmill sets how much speed you gain per step. The pen sets how many pets you can keep earning at once.

Treadmill Level 2 > Level 3More speed per step$250K or 79 Robux
Pen Level 1 > Level 2Expands to 9 slots$50K
Pen Level 2 > Level 3More pet slots$300K

Trails are permanent, passive multipliers. The Green Trail is the cheapest jump in the game, since it doubles your speed for $5K. That makes it the first thing to buy. The Cyan and Purple Trails come later, once pets are paying for them.

Build speed before the first egg run

Walk to the Trail Shop inside the Safe Zone and buy the Green Trail for $5K. The game confirms it with “Equipped Green Trail!” and a green streak starts following your avatar. From then on, every speed gain is doubled.

Go back to your base and step onto the treadmill next to your pen. Each step adds speed, and the gain floats above your avatar as you run. Stay on it until you have enough cash and speed for the next purchase. This is where most of your speed comes from.

Upgrade the treadmill from Level 1 to Level 2 at its sign for $15K. The game shows “Treadmill upgraded! +5/step”. With the Green Trail equipped, each step then shows +12.5 speed. That turns every minute of training into far more speed than before.

Slot 1 of the hotbar holds a tool called Stud Blast. It stays selected while you train. You don’t need to switch away from it to keep earning speed on the treadmill.

Past the SAFE ZONE line, the map runs through zones in a fixed order. Each one is farther out, and each one has a faster tsunami. A sign at each zone shows the wave speed and a recommended speed stat.

ZoneWave speedRecommended speed
ForestClosest to Safe ZoneNot listed
LakeSLOW1.5K
DesertMEDIUM12K
JungleFASTNot listed

The recommendations are guidance, not locks. Nothing stops you from walking into a zone early. With the Green Trail and a Level 2 treadmill, Desert eggs can be carried home while your speed is still well short of 12K. The risk goes up the further below the number you are, though. The Jungle’s FAST wave in particular punishes runs that start too deep.

How to steal an egg and outrun the tsunami

Leave your base and cross the SAFE ZONE line. Head into the zone that matches your speed, which is the Lake at around 1.5K speed. Run through the Forest first, because every zone sits beyond the one before it.

Walk up to an egg in a nest and press E when the Steal prompt appears. The egg goes into your hands and a “RUN!!” alert fires. That alert means the tsunami wall is now coming toward you. A Drop button also appears, which lets you let go of the egg.

Turn around and sprint straight back to the SAFE ZONE line. Don’t stop to grab a second egg. Once you are past the line, the wave can’t touch you and the game shows “You stole an EGG!”.

Carry the egg into your pen and place it on one of the circular pads. The incubation timer starts right away. Your hands are free again, so you can go straight back to the treadmill or out for another egg.

Eggs don’t stay in their nests forever. An “ALL EGG RESET!” banner means the eggs across the map have been refreshed. That happens whether you were mid-run or not. It is also a good moment to check the zones you can reach for a better egg.

Some eggs are visibly rarer than others. The Desert can spawn a glowing Sun Egg, and it is worth going for when you see one. Sun Eggs can hatch Legendary pets that out-earn everything else you’ll have this early.

What happens when the tsunami hits you

If the wave catches you, you drop the egg and your avatar ragdolls to the ground. The hit isn’t a total loss, though. The game hands out bonus speed shoes for it, and a hit deep in the Jungle is worth +150K speed. That is far more than early treadmill sessions produce. With that extra speed, a second attempt at the same zone becomes much easier to finish.

Incubating and hatching eggs in your pen

Eggs on the pen pads count down before they can hatch, usually somewhere between one and two minutes. If you don’t want to wait, stand at the egg and press F for Instant Hatch. Otherwise, use the countdown for a treadmill session or another egg run. The timer keeps going while the Roblox menu is open, so you can step away and press Resume when you come back.

When the countdown ends, the egg’s label switches to READY. Walk up to it and press E to hatch. The new pet is added to your Pet Index and equipped automatically, with a message such as “Successfully equipped Snail!”. It then roams the pen and starts earning cash every second.

Rarity doesn’t tell the whole story. A Desert Egg Snail and a Goat are both Uncommon, yet the Snail earns nearly ten times as much. Eggs from farther zones tend to pay off better than eggs near home. The jump to a Legendary Snake from a Sun Egg is big enough to fund your next few upgrades on its own.

Where to spend pet income next

Your first pen holds only a few pets, and once every pad is busy, extra eggs have nowhere to go. White arrows marked “Upgrade your Pen!” lead to the upgrade sign. Level 2 costs $50K and expands the pen to 9 slots, confirmed by “Pen upgraded! 9 slots”. Buy it as soon as your pads start filling up, because each extra slot is another pet earning around the clock.

Next comes the Cyan Trail at the Trail Shop for $75K. It raises your multiplier from x2 to x2.5, and the game confirms the purchase with “Equipped Cyan Trail!”. After that, treadmill steps climb to +15 speed.

The two bigger purchases after that are the Level 3 treadmill and the Level 3 pen. The treadmill upgrade costs $250K in cash or 79 Robux. The pen upgrade costs $300K. Pick whichever matches your bottleneck. Choose the treadmill if you keep getting caught by waves, and choose the pen if your pads are full and eggs are waiting.

The Purple Trail at $1M, with its x3 multiplier, is the long-term target for this stretch. By then, a few Desert pets and any Legendary you land should be bringing in enough cash to get there without much grinding. Every Pet Index reward you claim along the way shortens the trip.
