The Sewer Key in Sell Lemons opens the locked Sewer Gate, which leads to the Cosmic Cash Vine and the Cosmic Farmer Badge. Getting it is not about buying anything. You solve a lever puzzle hidden across the sewer maze, then collect the key from a back room and use it on the gate.
Quick answer: In order, pull Blue, pull Red, pull Green, unpull Red, unpull Blue, pull Purple, then pull Red again. Grab the Sewer Key behind the door that opens, unlock the Sewer Gate, and harvest the Cosmic Cash Vine.
How to enter the sewers
Drop into the sewers using any manhole cover on the main street. Each manhole leads to the same underground maze, where the colored levers and the locked Sewer Gate are located.
Tip: After pulling each lever, use Respawn or Teleport to return to the surface, then drop back in through a manhole. This is much faster than walking back through the maze every time.
Note: If you have already completed the UFO Key and Good Samaritan Badge, switch to a fresh server first so the levers reset to their starting positions.

The order matters. Each lever sits in a different part of the maze, and some steps unlock the path to the next lever. Follow the sequence exactly.

Unlock the Sewer Gate and confirm it worked
With the Sewer Key collected, return to the main sewer area and use it on the locked Sewer Gate. The gate stays permanently unlocked for your account once opened, giving you ongoing access to the Cosmic Cash Vine inside.
Harvest the Cosmic Cash Vine once to receive the Cosmic Farmer Badge. The badge unlocking is your confirmation that everything was done correctly. After that, the vine can be harvested again every four hours for a random amount of cash.
Why the lever puzzle fails
If the key door does not open, the cause is almost always the sequence. Two mistakes account for most failed attempts.
- Steps were done out of order. The puzzle only works when the seven actions are completed in the exact sequence above.
- The unpull steps were skipped. Steps 4 and 5 require turning Red and then Blue back off. Without them, the path to the Purple Lever never opens.
- The levers were already in a non-default state. If you have done the puzzle or the UFO route before, join a fresh server so the levers reset.
Once the gate is open and the badge is in your collection, the Sewer Area is fully yours. From there, solving the maze and exploring deeper also feeds into the UFO Key route, so keeping a steady supply of Cosmic Cash is worth it for the next set of secrets.
