Bite by Night drops you into a familiar setup. One player becomes a killer animatronic, everyone else plays a survivor, and the round ends when the clock hits 6:00 AM. Survivors fix generators and stall for time, killers hunt the whole team before they escape. Knowing what each character can do is the difference between getting munched and walking out at sunrise.
Quick answer: There are currently three active killers (The Rotten, The Project, The Doppelganger) and five survivor classes (Customer, Medic, Security Guard, Fighter, Technician). The Rotten and Customer are free; the rest cost Scrap, which you earn by playing or buy with Robux on the Roblox game page.
Bite by Night killers
Three killers are playable right now, each pulled straight from Five Nights at Freddy’s lore. They share the same goal, but their kits push very different playstyles, from straightforward chasing to disguises and mode-swapping mind games.
The Rotten (Springtrap)

The Rotten is the beat-up yellow rabbit suit housing William Afton’s spirit, and it’s the free killer you start with. The kit is built around chasing, throwing an axe, and locking down areas with traps.
| Stat | Value |
|---|---|
| Health | 1,750 |
| Speed | 14 |
| Run speed | 22 |
| Stamina | 70 |
| Price | Free |
| Ability | What it does |
|---|---|
| Swing | Hits with a fist for 28 damage or an axe for 34 damage. |
| Remnant Cleaver | Throws the axe at a target. A hit deals 20 damage and applies bleed for 15 damage over time; a miss can be picked back up. |
| Beartrap | Places a trap (up to three at once). A survivor who steps in is stunned for eight seconds and takes 15 damage, but can disarm it over 15 seconds. |
| Scream | Reveals every survivor, blinds and deafens them, and restores 25 stamina. |
| Charge | Rushes to grab a survivor, jumpscares them, then throws them for 40% of their current health plus a two-second ragdoll. |
The Project (The Mimic)

The Project is the most flexible killer, swapping between Strength, Speed, and Stealth modes that each change its stats and unlock different attacks. It has the highest health pool in the game, but it asks you to manage modes constantly to get full value.
| Stat | Value |
|---|---|
| Health | 3,000 |
| Speed | 15 |
| Run speed | 27.5 |
| Stamina | 55 |
| Price | 4,500 Scrap |
| Ability | What it does |
|---|---|
| Mode Switch | Cycles between Strength, Speed, and Stealth modes. |
| Swing | Deals 40 damage in Strength, six in Speed, and 25 in Stealth. |
| Mode: Speed | Moves faster and unlocks Leap. |
| Leap | Winds up then slams forward, ragdolling survivors in the area for 25 damage. |
| Mode: Stealth | Becomes undetectable, unlocks Grab and Drill, with slightly lower damage. |
| Grab | Grabs a hit survivor, auto-drilling for 25 damage, then can be thrown into another for 12 damage. |
| Drill Stab | Skips the Grab timer to drill the survivor instantly. |
| Drill | Burrows underground for invisibility and speed, then resurfaces to ragdoll nearby survivors for 32 damage. |

The Doppelganger (Ennard)
The Doppelganger is an amalgamation of animatronic parts, and its whole identity is deception. It can disguise itself as a survivor it has killed, hide your teammates’ status from each other, and use roaming eyes to track you down.
| Stat | Value |
|---|---|
| Speed | 12 |
| Run speed | 23 |
| Stamina | 70 |
| Price | 6,000 Scrap |
| Ability | What it does |
|---|---|
| Trust No One | Passive that hides whether teammates are alive or dead from other survivors. |
| Swing | Lunges forward for 32 damage on a hit. |
| Wire Eyes | Releases two eyes that roam, latch onto a survivor, and apply damage, slow, and blindness while revealing their location. Lasts 40 seconds. |
| Grab | Extends a wire that pulls a hit survivor in close. |
| Skin Stealer | A second mode that disguises you as a dead survivor with their stats; the disguise eventually explodes. |
| Skin Stealer: Stab | Lunges from disguise for 45 damage and puts Explode on a five-second cooldown. |
| Skin Stealer: Throw | Throws wires that explode on a hit or become a minion if they miss. |
| Skin Stealer: Explode | Blows up the disguise for 25 area damage. |
Upcoming and exclusive killers
The Marionette is confirmed for a future update, with Withered Foxy also flagged to join. A longer list of names, including Mangle, Nightmare Freddy, Withered Bonnie, and Withered Freddy, has been floated but isn’t confirmed. A handful of killers such as Bear5, Angry Munci, and Tung Tung Tung Sahur are restricted to developers and select players. Note that Bonnie the Bunny was once planned as the first killer but was scrapped in favor of The Rotten.

Five survivor classes are available, and they split cleanly into self-sufficient loners and team players. Each can earn up to 500 Scrap and 3,000 EXP per round, the same cap that applies to killers. Your job is always the same, fix objectives and survive to 6:00 AM, but how you contribute changes a lot.

Customer
The Customer is the free survivalist. It’s a lone wolf built to stay alive and finish objectives, with no real support for the rest of the team.
| Stat | Value |
|---|---|
| Health | 100 |
| Speed | 12 |
| Run speed | 24 |
| Stamina | 100 |
| Price | Free |
| Ability | What it does |
|---|---|
| Pizza | Restores 30% of your current health with a 30-second cooldown. |
| Drink | Grants a five-second speed boost, an energetic state, and 25 stamina, but applies three seconds of slowness once it ends. |
Fighter

The Fighter takes the fight to the killer with an axe, stunning them to protect teammates and buy time. It rewards precise timing, since the Parry window is what powers up your offense.
| Stat | Value |
|---|---|
| Health | 110 |
| Speed | 12 |
| Run speed | 24 |
| Stamina | 100 |
| Price | 1,350 Scrap |
| Ability | What it does |
|---|---|
| Swing | Stuns the killer for three seconds with extra debuffs based on parry charges, then consumes all charges. |
| Parry | Blocks a close-range attack and grants a charge for Swing; ranged hits still connect. |
Medic

The Medic exists to keep people standing, healing teammates and itself, with the bonus of overhealing allies past full health. The trade-off is that you go immobile while healing.
| Stat | Value |
|---|---|
| Health | 90 |
| Speed | 12 |
| Run speed | 24 |
| Stamina | 100 |
| Price | 800 Scrap |
| Ability | What it does |
|---|---|
| Heal | Stand still so nearby players can heal, restoring 5 HP every two seconds up to 30 HP, with up to 15 HP of overheal at full health. |
| Self Heal | Equip a medkit to heal yourself 5 HP per second up to 40 HP, with no overheal. |
Security Guard

The Security Guard is the support class that debuffs the killer and feeds the team information. The taser stun scales with how long you charge it, and the camera tablet lets you track the killer across the map.
| Stat | Value |
|---|---|
| Health | 125 |
| Speed | 12 |
| Run speed | 24 |
| Stamina | 100 |
| Price | 1,100 Scrap |
| Taser charge | Effect on the killer |
|---|---|
| Below green | Slowness for three seconds; you move faster while charging. |
| Green | Slowness and dazed for five seconds at normal charge speed. |
| Yellow | Slowness and confusion for seven seconds; you charge more slowly. |
| Red and above | Slowness and silence for nine seconds with a heavy charging slowdown. |
The second ability, Cams, taps into the map’s security cameras so you can switch views and spot the killer. Killers carry a label so you know who they are, except when The Doppelganger is disguised. The tablet runs on a four-bar energy system, with each highlight costing 15% of a bar, and it recharges while you’re not using it.
Technician

The Technician is the newest class and leans on its V.A.N.N.I mask to phase through obstacles and lay down traps. Phasing is strong for shaking a chase, but each use leaves you slowed, so timing matters.
| Stat | Value |
|---|---|
| Health | 100 |
| Speed | 12 |
| Run speed | 24 |
| Stamina | 100 |
| Price | 1,600 Scrap |
| Ability | What it does |
|---|---|
| Mask On | Puts on the mask, switching to first person and enabling phasing. |
| Phase (Tier 1) | Phase through small objects like barrels, with one second of slowness. |
| Phase (Tier 2) | Phase through large objects like walls, with two seconds of slowness. |
| Phase (Tier 3) | Phase through the most advantageous objects, with three seconds of slowness. |
| Static Mirage | Deploys a field that slows and debuffs the killer. |
Pick a survivor that matches how you want to play. The Customer and Medic keep you alive, the Security Guard and Technician control space and information, and the Fighter is for players confident enough to stun the killer head-on. On the other side, The Rotten is the easiest killer to learn, while The Project and The Doppelganger reward players who can juggle modes and disguises. Once you know what every kit does, choosing the right one for the lobby becomes second nature.
