Electro Rover in Wuthering Waves 3.5: Full Kit Breakdown

A clear look at Electro Rover's Skill, Liberation, and Forte mechanics from the 3.5 beta build.

A clear look at Electro Rover’s Skill, Liberation, and Forte mechanics from the 3.5 beta build.

Electro becomes Rover’s fourth attribute in the Wuthering Waves 3.5 update, following Spectro, Havoc, and Aero. The beta build presents the protagonist as a hybrid that can serve as both a main DPS and a sub-DPS, with the unusual ability to chain into Rover’s other attributes mid-fight. Everything below comes from the current 3.5 beta and may shift before launch.

Quick answer: Electro Rover deals Electro damage through a Parry Stance Riposte and a pull-in Resonance Skill, builds Electric Surge to enhance that Skill into Overshock, then enters Apex Resonance to spend Thunder Rage and switch into other attribute attacks.

Electro Rover Normal Attack and Parry Stance

Rover’s standard chain deals Electro damage, but the defining piece is the Parry Stance. Holding Normal Attack puts Rover into that stance, and releasing the button ends it with a Riposte Strike that converts the hold into Electro damage. The rest of the ground kit is built around stamina spending and dodge timing.

ActionEffect
Basic AttackDeals Electro DMG.
Parry StanceHold Normal Attack to enter the stance; releasing ends it with a Riposte Strike for Electro DMG.
Mid-air AttackConsumes stamina for a Plunging Attack that deals Electro DMG.
Dodge CounterPress Normal Attack right after a successful dodge to cast Basic Attack Stage 2 for Electro DMG.

Resonance Skill: Thunderclap

Thunderclap pulls Rover toward the target and deals Electro damage on contact. This base version is the engine for the Forte loop, since it both closes distance and feeds the enhanced state described further down.

Resonance Liberation: Ultimate Tactics

The ultimate, Ultimate Tactics, deals Electro damage. It is a straightforward burst in the current build rather than a state-changing ability.

Forte Circuit: Myriad Omens’ Mandate

The Forte Circuit is where Electro Rover’s identity sits. The loop runs on Electric Surge, an enhanced Skill called Overshock, the Apex Resonance state, and a Thunder Rage resource that powers attribute chaining.

MechanicHow it works
Electric SurgeNormal Attacks and Resonance Skill restore Electric Surge on hit.
Overshock (Press)At max Electric Surge, Thunderclap is replaced by Overshock. Casting it with Press clears all Electric Surge and grants an ATK Bonus to the whole team.
Overshock (Hold)Casting the enhanced Skill with Hold sends Rover into the Apex Resonance state.
Apex ResonanceThunder Rage drains over time, letting Rover chain into their other attributes.
Thunder RageRestored on entering Apex Resonance; Thrum of All Sounds restores more on hit.

In practice, you build Electric Surge with attacks, fire Overshock to either buff the team’s attack or open Apex Resonance, then spend Thunder Rage to swap into Rover’s other elemental moves before the resource runs out.

Inherent Skills: Decipher and Regression

  • Decipher: The final stage of the enhanced Resonance Skill applies 10 stacks of Electro Flare when it hits the target.
  • Regression: Using the Hold version of the enhanced Resonance Skill grants 20% Resonance Skill DMG Bonus for 6 seconds. Switching to another Resonator ends the effect.

Intro and Outro Skills

The Intro Skill is a single Electro-damage attack on swap-in. The Outro Skill carries the team utility. It hands the incoming Resonator an Electric Core, and when a Resonator holding that core inflicts a Negative Status, the core is consumed to grant 20% All DMG Amplification for 25 seconds.

Taken together, Electro Rover reads as a flexible damage dealer that buffs the team’s attack through Overshock, amplifies the next Resonator’s damage through the Outro, and uses Apex Resonance to borrow from Rover’s earlier elements. As with any pre-release kit, the multipliers, resource values, and ability names can change before the 3.5 build ships, so treat the numbers above as the current beta state rather than final.
