The 1.33.0 update for ARC Raiders adds a fresh limited-time event called Forgotten Relics, and it runs alongside a new community project, Converging Paths. Both ask you to head Topside, gather supplies and trinkets for the nomads, and turn that effort into Merits. Hit the Merit thresholds and you peel back 21 free rewards, headlined by the new Saltwalker outfit.
Quick answer: Earn Merits to climb the reward track. You get 1 Merit for every 100 XP you bank by looting, killing ARC enemies or raiders, and extracting to Speranza. Looting any of the nine new relics adds extra Merits on top. Reach 150 Merits (15,000 XP) for the Saltwalker outfit, and clear 3,150 Merits (315,000 XP) for everything.
How to earn Merits in the Forgotten Relics event
Merits work the same way they did during the Last Resort event from the Riven Tides update. Every bit of XP you collect during a raid converts into Merits the moment you extract. The exchange is fixed at 1 Merit per 100 XP, so any successful run pushes you up the track.
There are two ways to stack XP. The first is normal play. Loot containers, take down ARC enemies or rival raiders, and make it back to Speranza alive. The second is hunting the nine new relics, also called trinkets, which are scattered across the world inside containers, cupboards, and similar searchable spots. Each relic grants its own Merit value based on rarity.

The relics range from Common to Legendary, and the higher the rarity, the more Merits it hands over. A single Legendary trinket is worth 150 Merits on its own, which is the same as the entire first reward tier.

Best relic farming spots
Relics can drop anywhere, but two maps are far more productive than the rest. Dam Battlegrounds and Buried City are where you want to spend your runs if trinkets are the goal.
- Buried City: Search the Residential areas such as Grandios Apartments and Santa Maria Houses, plus the Medical facilities.
- Dam Battlegrounds: Comb the Research and Development building for the strongest results.
Note: You can also hand over the relics you find to the Converging Paths project, so picking them up is never wasted effort.

As your Merits build up, the rewards unlock one tier at a time. There are 21 in total, and all of them are free. The track is heavy on Saltwalker outfit pieces and customizations, with batches of Raider Tokens mixed in along the way.

The Forgotten Relics event closes on July 27, 2026. The Converging Paths project wraps up on the same day, so you have a 41-day window to bank XP, convert it into Merits, and claim every reward. Plan a few relic-focused runs through Dam Battlegrounds and Buried City and the full Saltwalker set is well within reach without spending a thing.
