Enshrouded: How to Get Bursting Fell Heart

Fell Sporeseekers in the Veilwater Basin Shroud drop the level 40 armor material, and Stillwater Bay is a short glide from Blackmire.

Bursting Fell Heart is a level 40 crafting material in Enshrouded. It gates several late-game armor recipes, including Vorgoth’s Soulbound Chest. You can’t gather it from a node or buy it. It drops from one Shroud enemy, and the fastest place to hunt that enemy is a flooded, fog-filled village in the Veilwater Basin.

Quick answer: Fast travel to Ancient Spire – Blackmire, glide northwest into the Shroud at Stillwater Bay, then kill the floating Fell Sporeseekers in the abandoned village and loot their bodies.

Bursting Fell Heart drop source: Fell Sporeseeker

The item’s in-game source line reads “Fell Sporeseeker, First: Veilwater Basin Shroud.” That means the Fell Sporeseeker is the enemy that drops it, and you first run into one inside the Shroud of the Veilwater Basin. Fell Sporeseekers belong to the Fell family. They float above the ground and have swollen, tentacled heads, so they are easy to pick out once you are inside the fog.

Character approaches a huge red-veined tree root surrounded by glowing blue coral-like growth, with a hint text above and red screen edge.
Standing before a giant Shroud Root wreathed in glowing blue growth, a message reads: The Shroud Root is the source of our misery. Destroy it with a felling axe and prosper.

The heart’s in-game description presents it as a mutated, still-beating organ whose essence goes into tough armor. That matches how it is used in practice, since every recipe that calls for it is a piece of body or head armor.

A Fell Sporeseeker can drop several things besides the heart, so expect a mixed loot window on each kill.

Stillwater Bay route to farm Bursting Fell Heart

Stillwater Bay sits just west of Little Lagoon. Its sunken, abandoned village is covered by Shroud and has several Fell Sporeseekers drifting through its streets and buildings. Ancient Spire – Blackmire is the closest fast-travel point.

Open the map and place a waypoint on Stillwater Bay, near Little Lagoon. The marker gives you a compass heading to follow once you are in the air.
Select Ancient Spire – Blackmire on the map and fast travel there. You arrive at the top of the spire, which gives you the height you need for a long glide.

Drop down into the fog over the abandoned village. The “ENSHROUDED” banner confirms you are inside the Shroud, and your Shroud timer starts running at the top of the screen.

Find and kill the Fell Sporeseekers floating between the ruined houses. They hover in the open, so ranged attacks such as a wand let you hit them without climbing after them.

Open the doors of the stone buildings to check inside. Some Fell Sporeseekers float inside these structures instead of in the streets, and each one is another chance at a heart.

To confirm you have the right item, hover over it in your backpack. The tooltip should read Bursting Fell Heart, Level 40, Uncommon, and list Fell Sporeseeker as its source. The regular Fell Heart is a separate, lower-level drop from the same enemy, so check the name before you head back to base.

Armor recipes that use Bursting Fell Heart

Bursting Fell Heart goes into level 40 and 45 armor from three different crafters. Every piece below has to be crafted under a roof, in a sheltered space. Most of them also need a minimum Flame level before the recipe appears.

Vorgoth’s Soulbound Chest ingredients

Loraine Crim, the Ancient Researcher at Mother Flame’s Domicile in Cinder’s Cradle, crafts Vorgoth’s Soulbound Chest. She makes the rest of Vorgoth’s Soulbound Set as well. The chest recipe needs a Sheltered Bed and these materials.

The finished chest gives 98 Physical Armor and 98 Magical Armor, 210 Health, 84 Stamina, 10% Bow Damage, 4 Frost Resistance and a 180-second Wet Duration Reduction. Its perks are Ranger 2, Marksman 2, Puncture 2, Veiled Vigor 1 and Stamina Regeneration 21.

Since each recipe here uses its own set of materials, look at the recipe card at the crafter before you leave for Stillwater Bay. A Bursting Fell Heart stacks to 250, so one trip that clears every Sporeseeker in the village can cover several pieces of armor at once.
