Fischfest has come back to Fisch for the summer, opening a limited-time beach destination filled with quests, minigames, and event-only gear. The update went live on June 20, 2026, and it adds a new currency called Sunshells, a returning Shoreline mechanic, fresh rods and mutations, and a redeemable code.
Quick answer: Redeem the code Fischfest2026 in-game for rewards, then travel to the new Fischfest beach to start Captain Conch’s questline and begin collecting Sunshells.

Add to Google Preferences →Sunshells: The Fischfest event currency
Sunshells are the limited event currency for Fischfest. You earn them in two main ways. Pick them up directly along the shoreline, or sell Fischfest fish to convert your catches into Sunshells.
Spend them at the Sunshell Merchant, who stocks exclusive rods, cosmetics, relics, furniture, and more. The most powerful rewards cost the most, so it pays to save up for the gear you actually want before the event ends.
Shoreline mechanic and washed-up rewards
The Shoreline mechanic is back for Fischfest. Waves periodically push items and rare finds onto the sand, so checking the beach regularly is worthwhile. You can pick up Sunshells, crates, relics, and assorted beach-themed surprises this way, and some washed-up rewards are very rare.
Beach minigames and rewards
Three competitive activities run on the island, and strong performances can unlock exclusive rods, titles, and other items.
| Minigame | How it works |
|---|---|
| Jetski Racing | Race around the island using boost mechanics. |
| Beach Volleyball | Team up to score higher and unlock rewards. |
| Sand Castle Building | Enter contests and prove your construction skills. |
Tiki Hut drinks and temporary buffs
The Tiki Hut serves drinks that grant temporary boosts. Effects cover Luck, XP, Mutation Chance, Progress Speed, and more. There’s also a Random Drink option that has a chance to hand you something extra special.
Limited rods, enchantments, and mutations
Fischfest brings several event-exclusive rods, each with entirely unique mechanics. You earn them through merchants, minigames, quests, and general event progression. New limited enchantments come from special Relics, and you can discover fresh mutations including Beached, Tropical, and Paradise.
Beach Bonfire daily rewards
The Beach Bonfire is a daily progression feature. Supply Driftwood each day to keep the fire going and strengthen it over time, which unlocks new daily rewards. Early returns include items, rods, baits, furniture, emotes, and titles, while later milestones grant powerful relics and unique summer rewards.
New companion and Tropical Sun weather
A new limited companion lights one of its arms with every catch, increasing your Luck as you fish. Captain Conch can tell you more about it.
The update also adds Tropical Sun, a rare summer weather event. It boosts luck and increases your access to special event mutations. When the Tropical Sun rises, the Shoreline becomes more active, so it’s a good time to watch the waves for rare finds.
How to redeem the Fischfest2026 code
You’ll know it worked when the reward is added to your account and the code no longer accepts a second entry. Codes are case-sensitive, so type it precisely. Limited-time codes can stop working once the event ends, so redeem it while Fischfest is active.
Because Fischfest is a seasonal event, the beach destination, Sunshells, and the event-only rods are all time-limited. If you want the rare merchant gear or the later Bonfire milestones, plan your Sunshell spending and daily Driftwood drops before the celebration wraps up.
