How to claim each free skin
Each reward type uses a different path. Once a skin is unlocked, it lands in your hero’s costume locker, and you can equip it from the Heroes menu to confirm it worked.
Battle Pass free tiers
Star-Lord Glory Gunner and Mantis Starlit Madonna sit on Page 4 of the Season 8 Battle Pass free track. You earn them by playing matches and completing missions to gain Chrono Tokens, then spending those tokens to advance the free pages. No purchase is required for these specific tiers. The skins unlock the moment you reach Page 4, and they vanish when the season closes on July 10, 2026.
Ranked rewards
Cyclops Futuristic Focus is the Season 8.5 ranked reward, and Devil Dinosaur Corporate Cruncher is the Season 8 ranked reward. Climb Competitive to the required rank before the season ends, and the costume is granted at the seasonal reset. If you have already hit the rank threshold, the skin arrives automatically once rewards are distributed.
Twitch Drops
Storm ‘Will of Galacta’ comes from the Season 8.5 Twitch Drops campaign. Link your game account to Twitch through the official Marvel Rivals Drops page, then watch any stream carrying the Drops Enabled tag until the watch-time requirement is met. After the timer fills, claim the reward in Twitch, and it transfers to your game inventory.
Event rewards
Several skins are tied to limited-time events. Ultron Cybernetic Drip comes from Savage Adventure, Mister Fantastic ‘Fantastic Beach Dad’ from the Krakoan Reels Summer Event, Groot Ironwood Serpent from the Shenloong Tournament, and the Season 0 Debut Skin from the Galacta’s Gift Event and Coin Exchange. Open the in-game Events tab, complete the listed tasks for each one, and claim the reward before its expiry date.
PlayStation perks
PlayStation players get two freebies. The Scarlet Spider Spider-Man costume is a free download from the PlayStation Store and never expires. PS Plus subscribers can also claim the Mantis Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 bundle from the store, which stays available until August 13, 2026. Download the add-on, launch the game, and the costume appears in your locker.
Heroic Journey achievements
Two permanent skins reward achievement progress. Reaching 200 Heroic Journey points unlocks Storm Ivory Breeze, and 400 points unlocks Star-Lord Jovial Star. These do not expire, so you can complete the challenges at your own pace and the skins arrive as soon as you cross each point threshold.
No active bundle codes right now
Codes in Marvel Rivals are called Bundle Codes, and they are redeemed from the in-game Settings menu under the Bundle Code option. NetEase has used them in the past for skins like Iron Man’s Armor Model 42 and Thor’s Midgard Umber, but those promotional windows have closed. There are no working codes during the Season 8.5 cycle, so a code is not a way to obtain any of the current free skins.
If a new code appears, the redemption flow is simple. Press ESC on PC or pause on console, open Settings, select Bundle Code, paste the code, and hit Use.
