Drive a 1980s Ford to a hidden Buddhist temple in western Takashiro and snap a photo for 5,000 credits.

The Temple of Nachi Falls sits high in the trees on the far western edge of the Takashiro region in Forza Horizon 6, and it is the exact spot you need for the Series 2 Week 1 daily photo challenge known as Temple of Zoom. To clear that task you bring a 1980s Ford to the landmark, open Photo Mode, and take a picture with the temple in frame.

Quick answer: Open the map, drive to the small circular road on the western side of Takashiro, reach the red Buddhist temple, and take a photo there in any 1980s Ford. The challenge pays out 5,000 credits and a season point.

Temple of Nachi Falls location in Forza Horizon 6

The temple is in the western part of Takashiro, tucked into the treeline above a large waterfall. It is a striking red temple complex modeled on Seiganto-ji, the real shrine near the Nachi waterfall in Japan’s Wakayama Prefecture, so it stands out clearly once you are close.

The fastest way to spot it is by following the small road that curls toward a circular endpoint near the very edge of the map. The temple sits just south of the falls, and the same area is the spawn point for the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution III treasure car, so anyone who has already grabbed that vehicle should be able to fast travel right next to the temple.

Open the world map and zoom into the northwestern corner of Takashiro. Look for the huge waterfall landmark, which is hard to miss.
Find the winding road that curves toward a circular endpoint west of the falls. Set a route there or fast travel to the nearest accessible road to cut down the drive.
Drive up the road toward the cliffs and treeline. You can use the off-road paths to climb straight to the shrine structures perched above the waterfall basin.

How to complete the Temple of Zoom photo challenge

Temple of Zoom is part of the summer Horizon Decades rotation of daily tasks, and it runs from June 20 to June 25. The requirement is simple: photograph any Ford built in the 1980s at the Temple of Nachi Falls. Before driving out, check your garage and filter the car collection by decade so you know which Fords qualify.

Get into an eligible 1980s Ford. The challenge will not register if you arrive in any other car, including a Ford from a different decade.
Drive all the way up to the temple grounds. Make sure your car is inside the landmark area rather than parked just outside it.
Open Photo Mode, frame the temple in the shot, and capture the photo. No specific camera angle is needed as long as the game detects both the qualifying Ford and the temple.

Reward and how to confirm it worked

Taking the photo with the right car and location detected completes Temple of Zoom and grants 5,000 credits along with a season point. The task will check off as finished once both conditions are met.

LocationTemple of Nachi Falls, western Takashiro

Reward5,000 credits and a season point

If the photo does not count, the most common reason is a car that sits just outside the point-of-interest boundary, even when the temple is clearly visible on screen. The other frequent miss is using a Ford from the wrong decade. Pull your car right up onto the temple grounds and double-check the model year, then take the shot again.
