How to Unlock the Striker Sprite in Fortnite (Chapter 7 Season 3)

The Striker Sprite is one of the later companions added during Chapter 7 Season 3, and it does not appear through normal exploration. Instead of stumbling onto it while looting, you earn it by completing a single specific action at a small, unmarked location on the island.

Quick answer: Score a goal at the Soccer Pitch POI in the southwest corner of the map. A Striker Sprite spawns by the net the moment the ball goes in, ready for you to grab and extract.

Striker Sprite location: the Soccer Pitch POI

The Striker Sprite is tied entirely to the Soccer Pitch, an unnamed area near the bottom-left corner of the island. It sits on a small island slightly south of Heatwave Harbor and west of Sunken Shores. Because it has no name label on the map, you have to recognize the field itself rather than follow a marker.

Open the full map and look for the soccer field shape near that southwest stretch of coast. Once you know what to look for, it is easy to spot and easy to land on directly from the Battle Bus.

The Soccer Pitch sits south of Heatwave Harbor and west of Sunken Shores.

How to score a goal and spawn the Striker Sprite

Travel to the Soccer Pitch POI in the bottom-left corner of the map. Drop in early if you can, since other players chasing the same Sprite may have already disturbed the field.

Find the soccer ball on the field. It usually starts somewhere around the center, but it can be kicked out of position, so check the full pitch if it is not where you expect.

Run into the ball to move it toward either goal. Keep pushing it until it crosses the line into one of the nets at the ends of the field.

Claim the Striker Sprite. The instant you score, confetti bursts at the net and a Striker Sprite spawns on the ground nearby. Walk over to pick it up.

Extract the Striker Sprite to keep it

Picking up the Sprite is only half the job. It does not join your permanent collection until you extract it, and if you are eliminated beforehand, the Sprite drops for another squad to take. There is an extraction site right in the middle of the soccer field, which makes securing it straightforward.

Call in that extraction before you score, so the canister is already arriving by the time the Sprite appears. The extraction process is loud and lights up the area, so expect attention from nearby players while you wait for it to complete. You can also extract using a Portable Extractor from anywhere, or by winning the match with the Sprite still on you.

Once extraction finishes, the Striker Sprite is unlocked permanently. From then on you can summon it at the start of future matches using Sprite Dust, though a freshly summoned copy starts back at Level 1.

What the Striker Sprite does

While equipped, the Striker Sprite grants the Overdrive effect whenever you mantle, hurdle, or wall scramble. Overdrive speeds up nearly every part of your moment-to-moment play, raising weapon fire rate, cutting reload time, and increasing movement speed.
