The Chapter 5 soundtrack for Deltarune arrived on June 24, 2026, landing on the same day as Chapter 5 itself. It carries Toby Fox as lead author, but this release leans heavily on outside help, with a notably larger roster of guest musicians than earlier chapters.
Quick answer: If you already own the DELTARUNE Soundtrack on Steam, Chapter 5’s music is added automatically as a free update, so you do not need to buy anything again. On Bandcamp, the Chapter 5 album is a separate purchase.

Where to get the Chapter 5 OST
How you receive the music depends on the platform. The Steam version of the soundtrack is built to grow with the game, so each new chapter is folded into the existing album you already paid for. Buying it on Bandcamp works differently, where the Chapter 5 album stands on its own and must be purchased separately.
| Platform | How Chapter 5 music is delivered |
|---|---|
| Steam (DELTARUNE Soundtrack) | Free update for existing owners; combined with the earlier chapter albums |
| Bandcamp | Purchased individually as its own album |
The record is released through Materia Collective, the same label behind the prior Deltarune chapter soundtracks.
Why the full track list is held back
Toby Fox has been deliberate about not exposing the complete song list ahead of time. The reason is simple. The track names themselves are spoilers, since many of them point directly at moments, characters, or events inside Chapter 5. That makes the soundtrack page light on titles until players have worked through the chapter.
Note: Because so many guest musicians contributed this time, the in-game credits are worth checking to see who worked on which pieces.

The two tracks revealed before launch
Ahead of release, two songs were shared specifically because they avoid major spoilers. Both have working titles that may not be final.
| Track | Where it plays | Background |
|---|---|---|
| Stealth | Optional Castle Town scenes with the Mikes | A previously cut track, originally written for sneaking scenes in Chapter 3 |
| Shop 3 | Most of the remaining shopkeepers in the game | A variant of kris_piano_shop; described as the only other song that does not spoil something |
Stealth has a longer history than its placement suggests. It was set aside earlier in development and made available to listen to once it was no longer in use, before being repurposed for Chapter 5’s optional Mike scenes. Shop 3 reuses the familiar piano shop motif and covers most shopkeeper interactions you will run into.
How to confirm you have the Chapter 5 music
If you bought the soundtrack on Steam, the Chapter 5 tracks appear inside your existing DELTARUNE Soundtrack files after the update applies, sitting alongside the Chapter 1, Chapter 2, and Chapters 3+4 albums. There is no separate Steam product to claim. On Bandcamp, you will only have the Chapter 5 songs once you complete that individual purchase, since the platform does not push it as a free addition.
For now, the soundtrack reads as a near-blank list by design, with only the two spoiler-safe tracks publicly named. The rest fills in as players reach the moments those songs belong to.
