The Collection Book in Storage Hunters: Open World has a Lost tab with 29 entries that never show up in the lockers you win at auction. You collect them by hand, scattered across the map on rooftops, inside water, behind buildings, and one behind a locked garage. Picking up all 29 fills the tab and pays out Diamonds, permanent Luck, and a cash bonus.
Quick answer: Collect all 29 Lost Items using the area-by-area table below. Grab the Key under the bridge near the farm first, because it is the only way to open the Back Alley garage and spawn the Scythe.
Rewards for completing the Lost Item collection
Rewards unlock at set milestones as you fill the Lost tab, and every item also stays in your inventory to sell. The full set is worth $519.99 if you sell them all, which is mostly useful for new players pushing their net worth up to reach Back Alley faster.
| Milestone | Reward |
|---|---|
| 5 Lost Items found | 5 Diamonds |
| 15 Lost Items found | +14% Luck (permanent) |
| All 29 Lost Items found | $150 |

Get the Key first, then the Scythe
The Key is the only Lost Item that unlocks another one, so handle it before you sell anything. It costs just $0.38 but opening the garage without it does not work.

Note: Hugging the door and spawning a vehicle can glitch you into the garage, but the Scythe will not appear that way. It only spawns when you open the door properly with the Key.
Farm and Lake Lost Items
The Sunset View farm and the nearby Lake hold the most items in one cluster, including the single most valuable Lost Item in the game. Several are hidden in plain sight, so zoom your camera out or use first-person view when searching the crops.
- Needle sits inside the crop rows in the farming area. The plants block your character, not your camera, so angle the view through them.
- Branding Iron is at the top of the tower next to the barn. Use the ladder to climb up.
- Cow Milker is behind the Trailer Store in the top-right corner of the map.
- Saddle rests at the base of a tree by the yellow house near the Trailer Store. At $100 it is the highest-value pickup.
- Horseshoe is on the opposite side of the Lake, against a tree trunk.
- Painting is submerged in the Lake. Jump in and grab it underwater.
- Cow Bell is behind the under-construction building across from the farm entrance.
- Butter Churn is in the second shed down on the beach near the construction site.
Junkyard Lost Items
The Junk Yard packs four items close together. The Backpack here is worth keeping rather than selling, since you can equip it from the Accessories menu to expand your inventory.

The Bluetooth Speaker waits inside the security checkpost by the Junk Yard parking lot. From there, head to the big red building to find the rest.

The Watering Can is tucked behind scrap metal and tires in the corner by the red building. Climb that same building for the Camera.

For the Camera, jump the steel wire, follow the brown wall to a short brick wall, climb up, then use the red ladder to reach the roof.

The Leather Backpack sits between two stacked containers to the left of the Car Garage entrance. Climb up to claim it, then equip it for the extra inventory space.
Dealership and Mall houses

The Acoustic Guitar is on top of a small room at the Car Dealership near the Junk Yard. Park a vehicle alongside and jump up from it to reach the roof.

From the guitar spot, turn to the houses on the right. The Bonsai Plant is at the back of the house painted dark yellow and white.
Shopping Mall, park, and gas station
The Mall cluster mixes easy grabs with the most awkward pickup in the game. The Professional Camera here is the second-most valuable Lost Item at $55.77.

- Book is inside the tunnel at the park past the Mall. Head toward the red slide and rotate the camera if the prompt does not appear.
- Professional Camera is behind the Quick Sell counter, on the second shelf to the left of the exhaust.
- Digital Alarm Clock is reached through the doorway to the right of the Grade NPC in the Grading shop. Walk straight through into the hidden room to collect it.
- LED Flashlight sits in a trash container down a small alley between two buildings near the Mall. Look for the Visit The Junkyard board, then turn left.
- Circular Saw is in the corner by the fuel tanks at the gas station in the bottom-right of the map.
Shipyard, beach, and Road Closed Lost Items
The Ship Yard holds the hardest pickups because most need climbing or careful jumps. Take your time, since a fall means starting the climb over.

The Lava Lamp is on the roof of the small pink building near the Road Closed area. Park a vehicle at its base, hop onto it, then up to the roof.

The Typewriter is at the top of the water tank tower. Climb the support leg that runs straight up to make the ascent easier.

The Jade Bracelet is on top of a large tanker inside the Ship Yard. Climb it directly to reach the bracelet.

The Flip Cellphone sits on the green containers left of the Steve NPC. Climb the crane behind them using the ladder on a support leg, cross the cross-bracing to a second ladder, move onto the crane mechanism, then drop down onto the containers.
- Classic Phone is in the left corner of the anchored ship. Cross the bridge through the gap right of the closed gates, then go under the tower where four suitcases sit.
- Marble Vase is on the small beach reached through the opening to the right of the ship’s steel gates.
Back Alley Lost Items
Beyond the Scythe behind the locked garage, two more items round out Back Alley. The Beehive is one of the easiest pickups in the game.
- Beehive is in the left corner of the Back Alley area, out in the open.
- Suitcase is on the roof of the left-most building. Jump onto the boundary fence first, then onto the roof.
How to confirm you collected everything
Open the Collection Book and check the Lost tab. Each item you pick up fills its slot, and the milestone rewards drop automatically as you cross 5, 15, and 29 found. When the tab reads 29 of 29, you receive the $150 bonus and the +14% permanent Luck stays active from the 15-item mark.
If a slot stays empty after a pickup attempt, the most common reasons are a glitched entry into the Scythe garage instead of opening it with the Key, or selling the Key before unlocking the door. Both leave the Scythe unspawned. Grab the Key again after its roughly 12-hour respawn and open the garage properly to fix it.
