The Sacred Sword is tied to five Jizo statues scattered across Ebisugaoka. In a New Game+ run, find each statue, leave its specific offering, then return to the Divine Tree (also called the Great Cedar Tree) to claim the weapon. Statues can be activated in the order you reach them during the story objectives, and interacting with a statue before finding its item will briefly hint at the offering’s whereabouts.
During the “Head to Shu’s house” objective, visit the Divine Tree south of Shu’s home to mark it on your map. This is where you’ll return after placing all five offerings.
Plan around story locks. For the school approach, pick up the Wood statue’s offering at the damaged bridge before entering the Middle School, as that transition can temporarily prevent backtracking in that segment.

From the Shimizu residence, walk downhill toward town and stop at the house with a bike and a red postbox. Find the statue tucked in the corner by the locked wooden fence.
Enter the now‑open home parallel to Shimizu residence and follow the treasure chest notes to the downstairs airing cupboard to collect the Faded Bride Doll. Place this at the statue.
On the road north of the fields where the path splits, take the branch toward Sennensugi Shrine. Look for a small enclosed nook beside the route; the statue sits in the back corner.
Before entering Ebisugaoka Middle School, search the housing cluster southeast of the save shrine. The statue is behind a residence at the south‑east corner.
Go to the damaged bridge visible near the school and collect the Broken Japanese Geta Sandals on the north side. Place them at the statue before advancing into the school.
After escaping the fog monster and reaching the hokora save shrine, head north on the main trail. The statue sits on a short side path to the right, backed against a closed wooden fence.
Before returning to town, sweep the residential tier northeast of Shu’s home. The statue is behind a house above a stairwell; a single lamppost nearby helps pinpoint the spot.
Move to the tree behind the building directly east/opposite of the statue and pull out the Dad’s Old Kitchen Knife. Offer it to complete the fifth shrine.
Claim the Sacred Sword (Divine Tree / Great Cedar Tree)
After placing all five offerings, go to the Divine Tree south of Shu’s home (west of the nearby shrine). If the main objective points you back down the mountain, ignore it and head for the tree.
Use other weapons in combat to restore the sword’s durability when it becomes temporarily unusable. The weapon remains available across subsequent playthroughs.
On the second visit to Ebisugaoka, go to the Water Jizo statue on the Sennensugi path; the Sacred Sword will be available there much earlier in the story.
With all five offerings placed and the cedar altar visited, the Sacred Sword is yours and remains in your arsenal for later runs, including routes that require it for specific endings.
