Gear 5 Luffy in Haze Piece is a late-game awakening that turns your character into the white-haired Sun God form and grants six special moves. It is gated behind a maxed level, a rare item drop, and repeated payments to a trainer NPC. Everything below covers what triggers the unlock and how to confirm it worked.
Quick answer: Reach LEVEL: 3000 [MAX], defeat the Dragon Superboss to obtain a Drums of Liberation, then pay Fit Trainer Yoka [Gear 5 Trainer] 500K Beli and 100 Gems per skill to awaken each Gear 5 ability.

Gear 5 requirements in Haze Piece
The trainer will reject you until you meet every requirement at once. The most common failure is not having enough Beli, which returns the message “Sorry, but you don’t meet the requirements!” even at max level.

| Character level | LEVEL: 3000 [MAX] |
| Key item | Drums of Liberation (from the Dragon Superboss) |
| Cost per skill | 500K Beli and 100 Gems |

The Luffy build starts with the race spin. The D. Clan sits at the bottom of the Race pool at a 0.1% Mythical chance, so expect a long grind of spins to hit it. When it lands, it stacks several combat buffs.
| Rarity | Chance | Races |
|---|---|---|
| Common | 55% | Human, Elf, 3 Eyed Tribe |
| Uncommon | 35% | Skypeian, Fishman, Mink, Cyborg |
| Rare | 8.9% | Demon, Celestial Dragon |
| Legendary | 1% | Lunarian, Dragonoid |
| Mythical | 0.1% | D. Clan |
The D. Clan roll grants +10% Health Regeneration, +50% Walkspeed, +1 SkyWalk, +10% Stamina, +1 Observation Haki, +10% Health, and +1 Conquerors Spirit. After that, obtain Luffy’s fruit by spinning with Gems so your moveset matches the Gear 5 kit.

Reach Level 3000 by farming Beast Pirates and Kaido
Max level is the hard gate for the awakening. The fastest path runs through the high-level islands and their quest lines from the NPC Erika (Quest Giver), backed up by open-world farming.
3750 [MAX] and Defense to 3750 [MAX], then dump any leftovers into Combat for stamina.3000 [MAX]. Resetting your character between fights restores health quickly.
Get the Dragon Orb and the Drums of Liberation
The Drums of Liberation is the item Yoka demands before teaching most Gear 5 skills. Getting it takes two stages, and the first stage is a rare drop.

Awaken Gear 5 at Fit Trainer Yoka
The Gear 5 Trainer, Fit Trainer Yoka, stands on a floating platform near Dragon Island. Talking to him opens the awakening prompt: “Would you like to learn Gear 5 for 500K Beli 100 Gems [Lv 3000 Rqd]?”
Accept the first prompt to unlock Kaminari Lightning. When you try to learn the next move, Yoka replies, “You do not possess the traits of the sun god. You must present to me the legendary Drums of Liberation.” Each further skill costs another 500K Beli and 100 Gems, so keep enough Beli and Gems banked. The full skill order is below.
| Skill | Name | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Kaminari Lightning | Summons lightning bolts |
| 2 | God Clap | Giant hands clap together |
| 3 | Spiritual Dominance | Red Conqueror’s Haki shockwave |
| 4 | Gomu Giant | Grow into a giant and stomp the ground |
| 5 | Bajrang Gun | A massive fist drops from the sky |
| 6 | Cloud Fly | Ride a cloud to fly |

Redeem the GEAR5TH code for a head start
The code GEAR5TH speeds up the grind by handing out experience boosts, spins, and gems. Open the Menu, click the Gift icon to open the CODES prompt, type GEAR5TH into the “Try a code!” field, and press Redeem. A “Successfully redeemed!” message confirms the reward landed.
How to confirm Gear 5 unlocked
After you accept Yoka’s prompt, the screen shows “Congratulations! Awakening successful” and your character transforms into the white-haired, white-clothed Gear 5 look. Each later purchase confirms with a “Skill unlocked!” message, and the new move appears in your ability list.
If the awakening fails, it comes down to one of two things. Either you are below Level 3000, or you do not have both 500K Beli and 100 Gems in hand at the moment you accept. For any skill past the first, you also need a Drums of Liberation in your inventory, which means clearing the Dragon Superboss again whenever Yoka asks for it.
