Playful Cloud is the special three-section staff added to Jujutsu Zero alongside the Clan V2 patch, and it does not simply fall out of a single boss kill. Getting it means farming the new Dagon mini-boss, turning its drops into three fragments, and finishing the weapon at a specific NPC. The grind is repetitive, but the boss respawns fast enough that most of your time goes into crafting rather than waiting.
Quick answer: Kill Dagon on the Beach to farm Cursed Fish, Cursed Tentacle, and Dagon’s Wings, use those materials at the three fountains to craft Sunset Icon Fragment Tiers 1, 2, and 3, then bring all three to the Construction Sorcerer at the Tomb of the Star to craft Playful Cloud.
The full crafting path for Playful Cloud
Playful Cloud sits behind several crafting stages, so it helps to see the whole chain before you start. Each step depends on the one before it, and the weapon will not appear until the final NPC interaction is complete.
| Stage | What you do |
|---|---|
| 1 | Defeat the Dagon boss on the Beach |
| 2 | Collect Cursed Fish, Cursed Tentacle, and Dagon’s Wings |
| 3 | Craft Sunset Icon Fragment Tier 1, 2, and 3 at the three fountains |
| 4 | Travel to the Tomb of the Star |
| 5 | Craft Playful Cloud at the Construction Sorcerer NPC |

Every material you need comes from Dagon, the mini-boss added in the same update. You will find it on the Beach, and it is one of the easiest world bosses to farm because it respawns roughly every 2 to 2.5 minutes. A boss icon appears on the map whenever Dagon spawns, so you can move straight to the fight without searching.
Dagon drops three materials, and all three feed into the fragment recipes. Because drops are random, you may end up with more of one than another, so keep farming until you have enough of each for every fragment tier.
| Material | Used for |
|---|---|
| Cursed Fish | Sunset Icon Fragment crafting |
| Cursed Tentacle | Sunset Icon Fragment crafting |
| Dagon’s Wings | Sunset Icon Fragment crafting |
Tip: Stay parked near the Beach spawn and join a busy server. Extra players clear Dagon much faster, and the short respawn timer means you rarely wait long between kills. Do not leave after grabbing one of each drop; the higher fragment tiers can eat through more materials than a single run provides.
Craft the three Sunset Icon Fragments at the fountains
Once your inventory is stocked, the next objective is crafting the Sunset Icon Fragments. There are three separate ones, and you need every tier before the final weapon can be built. Treat them as the keys that open the Playful Cloud recipe.
Finish Playful Cloud at the Construction Sorcerer NPC

The weapon does not craft itself once you own the fragments. The final step happens at the Tomb of the Star, where the Construction Sorcerer NPC handles the last crafting stage. Many players get stuck here because they expect the fragments to combine automatically.
If the craft option does not appear, the cause is almost always a missing fragment tier or not enough of one. Re-check that all three tiers are in your inventory before speaking to the NPC again.
Playful Cloud moveset and current state
Playful Cloud is built as a special weapon with three skills. During early testing after the update, only one move worked correctly while the others failed to appear, which points to a bug or temporary issue in the current patch. Expect the full moveset to become available once that is fixed in a later update.
Even with a partial moveset, the weapon already hits hard, and its animations and effects match the source material closely. As more players craft it and testing continues, its combo potential and overall strength will become clearer.
Note: The update also shipped a redeemable code, PLAYFULCLOUD, which grants Lumens, 500 Cursed Crystals, and 30 Clan Rolls. Redeem it from the Codes button in the main menu of Jujutsu Zero after finishing the opening tutorial. Codes are case-sensitive, so type it exactly.
The whole run rewards patience more than luck. Farm Dagon until you have a comfortable surplus of Cursed Fish, Cursed Tentacle, and Dagon’s Wings, lock in all three Sunset Icon Fragments, and the trip to the Construction Sorcerer becomes a formality rather than a roadblock.
